We had an unfortunate incident with our travel trailer recently. We had to file an insurance claim and were rather anxious about the entire repair process. Suzanne and the service team at Dodd RV of the Peninsula went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations with our repair and service needs. Additionally on our first trip out this year we were in need of technical advice at our campground destination. We spoke with Crystal in service and she guided us through our troubleshooting methodically and patiently. Crystal and Suzanne are both great assets to Dodd RV and I would recommend anyone needing service to definitely do business with them as they are professional, knowledgeable and very understanding to their customers needs. Bravo!!!

I’ve (somewhat unfortunately) had to visit BMW of Fairfax Collision Center several times over the past 18 months to have various body damage repaired. Every time the experience has been beyond phenomenal. While the quality and timeliness of the repairs is excellent, what really stands out is the customer service. Whether it’s been to push my insurance company to authorize having the car repaired the right way (rather than the cheapest way) or helping me deal with the results of my own inability to drive without bumping into stuff, the staff has always been professional, friendly, and very helpful. I normally wouldn’t look forward to visiting a body shop, but I always enjoy visiting the BMW of Fairfax Collision Center...BMW of Fairfax’s regular service center could definitely learn from them. Ian and Henry have both helped me, with both being excellent!!

Terrible service now I have to drive to Indiana to get it fixed. Please call me there is so much more... From the service advisor Alicia Lucas to the techs to the warranty coordinator to the Service lead who says she is the same as a General store manager Emma are all Terrible. I have a Thor motorhome 2022 we use it 4-5 days a week, the first camping world in Richmond couldn't get me in for over 4 months per Thor they advised me to call this location and they were able to get me in within a week. I spoke to Alicia ahead of time and told her my situation she said she would put me in as a walk in and I could pickup my RV the same day if not next that was on 03/04/24 Monday I called on Tuesday 03/05/24 and Alicia was not available I then spoke to the manager Emma (terrible managing abilities) she informed me that the timeline Alicia set forth was impossible as they typically don't assign the techs for 5 days she said day 2 I was lucky to have a tech assigned. Now its obvious why RV repairs there take so long... they make a appointment to let your vehicle sit for 5 days why no maybe make the appointment for when your ready to service the vehicle. This was at 2:30PM Emma said she would push my RV to the front since I was fortunate enough to have the tech assigned to me and it would be ready in 2 hours at 4:30PM I told her that would be impossible to diagnose my multiple issues in 2 hours she insisted it wasn't impossible and could be done. I told here to take a extra day since they've had it for 2 days already and to have a tech look at it for 2 hours at the end of the day was unsatisfactory and not enough time. They kept it for another day I called as the end of the 3rd day was coming to an end and wanted to see if it was ready, she said its been ready since this morning and the tech said nothing was wrong with the A/C (I have been working with Thor since I am tech minded to try to fix w/o having to take in for service, this has had a problem with the inverter, lithium battery and alternator system installed during covid in lieu of gas generator) I told her the tech could not have tested it, Alicia told me usually when not rushed she would walk though the vehicle, I asked Alicia to go out and start the A/C she said she couldn't do that (even though she just said thats what she would usually do) I asked her to have a sales rep turn on the A/C to no avail. So on 03/07/24 my wife at 8:30AM took off work to go to the service to start the AC and what do you know the entire system crashed. They said they would put another tech on it (since the other one obviously never ran the ac off shore power to find that the problem still existed). We picked it up that night 03/07 after the new tech said it was only holding 13.5 volts which is not enough to run the AC and they would have to get the repairs approved. I was told it typically takes 7 days for approval which would have been 03/15/24 I got a email saying its still pending. I called Thor to see where it was on the 03/18/24 due to a vibe I had that Camping World was lying which imagine they were lying (not telling the truth, Emma wont accept that they lied and/or doesn't understand what lying is...not telling the truth). I was told by Thor that they only had two requests one pertaining to the AC which on 03/12/24 they reached out to Camping World to see if it was the Chassis battery or House battery (no response from Camping World) they told me the second issue with the awning motor was approved and the third item which was roof leak was never submitted (Alicia told me its maintenance but they were going to try to get it approved which was another lie since it wasn't submitted therefore it could've never been approved). Kristen at Thor who I spoke with was absolutely amazing to deal with and someone who actually understands customer service she told me that Camping World said they needed to sublet a lift as they didn't have one for my vehicle and we were both befuddled as to why they would

My wife's brand-new 2005 Town Car has an integrated Nav/THX sound/6-disc CD changer. The CD changer ate a disc, requiring replacement of entire unit. After the initial problem, the car was returned with LCD screen down - Nav & radio could not be used. I moved the LCD back into place to enable these features for the 3 weeks we were told to expect for the replacement system to arrive. My wife kept calling after expected delivery date of parts and was told repeatedly they were not in. At the 6th week, she was told the replacement unit had come in 3 weeks before. After the 2d appointment, the car was returned with the service invoice annotated "replaced and tested" and the eaten CD on the floor. The unit was not replaced at all - marks that had been on the changer face were still present. The changer would accept and eject CDs but would not read any of them - so much for "testing." On 3rd trip, my wife was told Cherner would install a new unit the next day - undoubtedly the one that should have been installed in the first place. The mechanic tried to blame problem on home - burned discs. Not so, all were commercial. When the unit was in fact replaced, all worked fine. I have many suspicions about an invoice that says plainly that an expensive ($3000 option) unit was replaced and tested, when it was very obviously not. The car has an automatic trunk opener/closer. Soon after purchase, the trunk closer SLAMMED immediately after opening fully, hitting my wife's hand hard. Injury was not major, fortunately, but the trunk slammed hard enough to have taken a limb off or cause serious head injury. It shook the whole car, and bounced it on the suspension. The problem repeated every time the trunk was opened after first time it occurred. The cause was a torsion bar in the trunk mechanism that had become dislodged. Cherner's response: Don't put anything on the raised shelf in the trunk. It could happen again. Before the repair, I made a video of the trunk slamming 5 times in a row as soon as it fully opened, and hand-delivered it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, together with a complaint. It's a safety problem of great concern, and "don't put anything on the shelf" is all Cherner can say. Dealer-installed wheel well mouldings were not installed properly. One came off even before the car was delivered to my wife. On the last trip (for the nav system problem) it came off again and was destroyed in the dealership's car wash. The work is just sloppy and it is not checked adequately. Terrible quality control. One "service" manager became extremely rude to my wife; she refuses to deal with him any more. The second manager has been an improvement, but the work in the maintenance bays is still awful. We are looking for another dealer in the Arlington VA area; we have never had such bad dealings from any other L-M dealer in other cities (Tampa, FL, Sacramento, CA and Baltimore, MD). Most have been super. Not these guys. Lack of cooperation or followup was evident even at purchase - it was a painful experience. Even at the front end, these guys don't know how to do business. We had our own financing, and it was a straight-cash deal - no trade. Price was fine ("employee" discount), but the delay tactics, unnecessary delays in getting the car out the door as my wife wanted it, and even the inability to get the sales people to credit the cost of the unused standard wheels against the cost of the upgraded wheels (which they insisted in selling at full retail) was a trial - although they did it after an hour of haggling and waiting. Although we found our car 10 minutes after coming onto the lot, it took four hours to complete the transaction on a straight cash deal!! Not a service problem, but part of a dealership problem - these guys just don't care about doing business or taking care of customers.

A Big Thank You to Sara, Robyn, Wilson, Jason, Phil and Al at Dodd RV in Portsmouth, VA. We have a 2014 Landmark and at the last stop our electric bedroom slide would not move and the front AC shroud was shattered. We finally got the slide in and hit the road heading to Virginia Beach. We found Dodd RV on line an since they were on the way we headed there. We hoped they would have the shroud, but they did not. I did not even dream that they could fit in a service for our slide. We all know how most dealers work, they are scheduled at least a month or two out. But, I figured I would try and while we were there I spoke to one of the RV Techs about the problem we were having with our slide. But Dodd RV not only worked us in, they had 3 techs in our RV within 15 minutes of our arrival. The troubleshot the problem, tried to find a replacement part locally but ended up having to order it. So, long story short, when we leave our current location on Friday, we will drive back to Dodd RV, have our AC shroud replaced and the slide room fixed. It will make for a long day, but that's ok. Hats off to Dodd RV. They have been fantastic. Anyone in the Tidewater area would do well to work with these folks. They truly understand customer service.

When I set my appointment and visited the site for the first time, I felt staff to be talking amongst themselves about personal issues, and I was told to fill out forms that I had already filled out and sent then once those have been located, staff told me they had not checked the email and did not notice. The forms had been returned already. When the staff contacted me about adding additional work, I agreed and then a few minutes later I did reach out to them by email and let them know that I did not want the work completed and then I wasn’t reached until the next day by staff to tell me they did not check the email timely and did not have the information to let them know that I was not looking for that additional work to be done when I asked to speak to the general manager he was very rude and abrupt. He would not listen to my points at all. He continue to cut me off and make his points to say that I need to pay for it no matter what when I picked up my vehicle, I found there to be, some sort of substance on the bumper that was repaired and had to wait for staff to come out and inspect it and remove it so I was not happy with my interaction with this site and I will take the same recommendation

BEWARE! Someone insured by Geico rear-ended my brand... - AMBD

BEWARE! Someone insured by Geico rear-ended my brand new car badly and Geico sent me here. Everything seemed fine when I got it back, even though it took 2 WEEKS to repair, instead of ONE. I went home, only to see that someone at the repair center had put a green dent/scratch in my door. I took it back the next day and they gladly fixed it. Everything was fine… for a moment. Just in case, I took it to my dealership and had maintenance look at it. They found: Koons put the wrong COLOR on my bumper (grey instead of blue!), didn’t replace the guard shield under my trunk that had been clearly ripped off (!!!), and the muffler was misaligned. BUT WAIT. THERE’S MORE. I then took it to another repair shop, the one my dealership sends its repairs to. Not only were there all the problems listed above, but MY EXHAUST WAS NOT COMPLETELY REPAIRED. They left things UNFIXED and part of the system still PUSHED INTO MY CAR! After so many promises from Koons that my brand new car would be returned to me as it was before the accident, I feel so ripped off and cheated that they would think these things would go unnoticed. The repairmen at Pohanka could tell the exhaust was still broken just by LOOKING at the car, before pulling it apart! Stay clear of this place. The employees are extremely friendly, but this is not the place to go for quality service.
