Service with a smile - TNT
Got a oil change and tire rotation today quick and easy. Service writer didn't write up the tire rotation but that was no problem. Technician took it right back to the shop and had it back out in 10-15 minutes.

The salesman was very pleasant and nice. He just has a fantastic personality and humor. I would come back and buy from him again. I have already recommended friends and cousins to come here and buy from Scott. It truly was a very enjoyable experience.

Some might say I'm crazy to have flown nearly a thousand miles to buy a used vehicle, but that's exactly what I did. And then I drove it home. I shopped online to get a rust-free, "southern" car and found exactly what I wanted at Athens Dodge. Dennis, my sales person and Dave, the General Manager went out of their way to be sure the Tahoe was safe and reliable before selling it to me. I do not exaggerate in the least. When we noticed a problem on our test drive, they made sure it was repaired properly before they sold it to me. We love the vehicle and can honestly say it was worth the time and effort to do business with Athens Dodge.
Absolutely amazing - Ryalsnicholas0912

Surprisingly positive experience! - BigHorn Guy
I have not purchased a new vehicle since 2008, when I bought my last Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. My history with the dealership experience has been one of apprehension due to the anticipation of hard sell tactics and pressure from the salesman, sales manage and finance guy, NOT SO AT HAYES. My sales man, Tyler was extremely polite, knowledgeable and courteous. He made me feel very comfortable with the process and was very helpful with vehicle selection. There was absolutely no pressure. He and the sales management team worked with me to reach an agreeable price that we could both accept. This was by far the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever encountered. I highly recommend Hayes Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Gainesville. I would not hesitate to purchase a vehicle from them and look forward to a long relationship with their team. Not enough "Os" in smooth to describe my experience at Hayes. Thanks Tyler.
Great service - Snow

I loved the experience I had with this dealership. I am a 23 year old recent college grad and this is my first major purchase and I could not be any happier. Dustin was so very kind and amazingly knowledgeable and helpful in my pursuit of my new car (2012 Nissan Rouge SL). He made the whole experience as easy and painless as possible with my circumstances and worked very hard to do everything possible to get me in the car with the best payments and APR. I would most definetly recommend this dealer and make sure to ask for Dustin! As far as financing goes, Austin helped me out and was very helpful and quick as well!

Customer Service at its best!! - Kim Baugh
We contacted Hayes Chrysler about ordering a 2017 Jeep Wrangler for our daughter. I really despise spending all day at a dealership, but I didn't have to spend all day at Hayes! Every person was attentive to our needs and valued our time. We ordered the jeep and they made every effort to let us know the details of when the Jeep would arrive. My daughter's new jeep was delivered to us and the dealership went above and beyond what was required of them. I appreciate the level of service my family and I received!
Worst ever dealership!!!!!!JOKE!!!!!!!!! - Michael1
Truck had a flat truck when I showed up for the test drive,I was told it had a LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY through the dealership. IT DOES NOT. I had to bring the truck back to get it clean because they couldn't do it while signing paperwork ( they had 10 service people just standing around) . They have been selling trucks with lifetime warranty for 6 months and they don't have warranty. The Manger told me that himself. Luckily I caught on to it. A couple of my buddies had already bought trucks from there and they were told they have a LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY.They don't, hopefully they'really going to fight it. I highly recommend staying clear of this place. 10 days after the sell they call wanting more money because some paperwork was wrong. WHAT A JOKE !!!!!
electrical issue - unhappy customer
***Do Not Use their Service ****1st visit was for same problem as second, also ac compressor was making noise,.. voltage was coming in and out, I was told alternator needed replaced and ac compressor was fine,.. paid to have alternator replaced, problem persisted and ac compressor went out during a family trip the next week or so,.. as soon as I could go without my truck for work again brought back in and explained history,.. these morons just said batteries were bad,. Which didnt explain why it was having other electrical issues or voltage problems once started if batteries are bad alternator will take over and regulate,.. but I guess these ppl treat everyone like their stupid,.. never again refused service,.. which was quoted at nearly 700 more dollars which I feel certain would not fix the problem,.. do not use these guys
after they saw I wouldn't pay anymore had to go and get my own car from the back,..
took truck to A1 auto electric, .. fixed in one day for 150.00 dollars no new batteries needed.. I was right!!!!!!
Worst experience ever - Bad experience Dj
My experience with this dealership has been my worst car buying experience at this location they are all liars they'll say whatever to get your business once you've signed a contract their customer service is piss poor. Perfect example if you call that dealership and you press the prompt that you're an existing customer you'll never get an answer if you indicate that you're a new customer a sales rep will pick up right away
Great service - Jim Panepento
Thanks to Newnan Chrysler Jeep for the fast and professional service I received from your service department today. A special thank you to Steve Butler - the technician that did the work!
Positive outcome - MTeasley
Purchased a new vehicle after a horrifying experience at another dealer that same morning. Sales associate Alonzo was fabulous! Was in and out in less than 3 hours, with new Jeep!
good service department - karen
The manager assigned to my car very helpful as far as explaining tire wear and rotation results. He came and talked to me to give me updates when my car was being serviced too. I have had 4 recalls and one oil tire rotation service done at Akin. I was able to talk with the service rep assigned to my car. Usually I find they just take the vehicle and do what ever then you pay ...done. Not at Akin! They are polite and check back with you periodically. The waiting area has complimentary drinks and computer area for you to use. I noticed many people were working on computers as they got car service done. Bathrooms are big and clean as well. I always have had a great service experience at Akin and will buy my next car there. We have been impressed with the phone communication as we go through the recalls on all 3 of our Dodge vehicles. Akin people have made it easy to stay in touch as we waited for airbags to become available Very impressive. Thank you.
Service Center Woes - Kittypants
My husband and I bought a 2016 Ram from this dealer in September. At that time, we were advised we had a series of free oil changes so this afternoon my husband stopped in to have the first completed. When he checked in with the service department, he was told it would take 30-40 minutes to complete. An hour and 20 minutes later, he approached the clerk to find out what was taking so long. After a period of time of the service tech trying to even locate the truck (at first the tech thought he forgot to turn in the invoice, then thought he had lost it, then thought the truck was in the lot, then finally "found" it), he was told that the system updates were still running and had about 10 more minutes. A system update was not requested nor did anyone verify with my husband that this could be performed. Two hours after first checking in, the truck was finally finished. No apologies for the length of time, no apologies for losing the truck, no apologies for me having to reschedule an already existing appointment that my husband was to accompany me to because his entire afternoon was spent at your dealership when it should have been 30-40 minutes. And we still have no explanation as to what kind of system update was performed on a 2 month old truck and why.
Just like every other sales team - Jf71
This dealership is not unique in their ability to make shady deals and used borderline fraudulent practices. I am not a a lawyer so I do not have a clear definition of the law, however I am a common sense type consumer. My trade in vehicle has not been paid off for over a month now. I am being asked to make late payments on a vehicle I do not posses and also there has been fines added to the late payments. No one at the dealership can tell me why, or when it will be fixed. I am certain there has to be some type of limitation on time to pay. The worst part is the fact that it is next to impossible to reach anyone to hear they have no answer or it is not their department so they do not know and the person that would know is mysteriously never there. Frustrating to say the least. Last time I will use this location. Will warn friends and family in the area to steer clear.
Management suppose to lead by example! You've been warned! - Ms. S. Harris
This is far the worse dealership to take your car for service! You don't receive any follow up phone calls, inexperienced mechanics and horrible Management! I have been going back and forth for months with my Jeep Laredo and they still haven't fix the problem! A Engineer was supposedly scheduled to work in my truck, I have yet to hear from anyone!!!!
Service Department is to be avoided at all costs - MLowe05
On the recommendation of a friend, I took my 2014 Mercedes C350 to Robert Loehr for rear tires. I had already purchased the front tires from eBay, and brought them along to have mounted and balanced. My car has staggered tires and optional factory 18" AMG rims.
My assigned service advisor, I am told, is the best the dealership has to offer. His name is Josh and he is not communicative (offered no updates during my 3+ hour wait), though when he does communicate he is both abrupt and abrasive. If you absolutely must use this dealership (and you should seriously reconsider), request a different service advisor. The others at least seem to have a better disposition, though what goes on in the shop behind the scenes is where the real problem lies.
As noted above, the mounting and "balancing" of 4 tires took 3 hours. When my car was pulled back around for me, I walked around it to take a look at the new tires and make sure that the correct sizes were on the front and back. The first thing I noticed was missing valve stem caps on the driver side of the car. When I leaned in to see if the caps were missing or just silver in color, I noticed that the rims were chewed up along the edges. Not on just one, or even two - but all 4. I pointed this out to the service people and they agreed to have the rims repaired at their expense, as they should. I made an appointment for the following week to bring it back for the rim repair and left. I made it about 10 miles before the TPMS displayed the individual tire pressures. On the fuel filler door the car states that the fronts should be at 36psi and the rears at 39psi. On the driver's door jamb, there were pressures listed for the smaller 17" rims that came standard on the car. To make sure the technician knew which was correct, I asked that he be told 36 front and 39 rear was correct. At the point the tire pressures finally displayed, the front left wheel was at 46psi, the front right at 40psi, the rear left at 40psi, and the rear right at 47psi. I turned around and went back to have this corrected.
I was off work the next few days and did not drive the car much. The first day back to work after the tires were put on was a Saturday, and I made it about 10 miles down the highway before the car popped a warning that the front left tire was losing pressure - and fast. I called roadside assistance to get the tire changed. The roadside tech arrived, lifted the car, and attempted to put the spare on but the lug bolts were on so tight he could not get them off no matter how much he tried. Finally he said he couldn't keep trying without risking damage and there was nothing we could do but tow it to a tire shop.
The car was towed 20 miles to a tire shop open on Saturdays. They used their air tools to get the lug bolts off, but not without stripping one completely and damaging the 4 others on that rim. We had to order 5 new lug bolts ($66.42) from the closest Mercedes dealer to get the car back in service and not have it be down until Monday. Once the tire was off it was clear that the dealership was at fault for the flat, the bead of the tire on the inside was chewed up just like the rim.
Through this point the dealership was agreeable in trying to fix the issue. They agreed to replace the damaged tire at the same time they repaired the damaged rims and to reimburse the cost of the new lug bolts. I was really not happy with the idea that I would have to again let them do any work on it, but I left it the following Tuesday to have the rims repaired and the new tire mounted.
Once this was done, I again was off and did not drive the car for a few days. When I did get the car back out on the highway, I discovered that there is a tire balance issue (vibration between 70-80mph, smooths out afterwards). I was charged for balancing, and I even asked to clarify that the new tire was balanced when it was mounted. I did let the dealership know that the tires are not balanced correctly, but I will be eating the cost of a proper balance. I will never let them touch any vehicle I own again.
The issue with this dealership can be summarized in one word - incompetence. That they repaired the rims and replaced the damaged tire and bolts does not redeem them - that was owed. You should avoid this dealership because the quality of the work depends on the skill of the technicians, and in this case it is severely lacking. Whatever they damage may get replaced, but it should not be damaged to begin with. I realize that mistakes happen everywhere - but this was not a single mistake. This was not a single damaged rim, a single tire set at the wrong pressure, or a single over torqued lug bolt. This was poor quality work from beginning to end and poor customer service. Do not make this same mistake. Go elsewhere from the start.
