I've worked with salespeople at a variety of dealerships. I've bought Lexus, BMW, Honda, more. Chris Adams is by far the most professional salesperson I've run into so far. He helped me close out on a 2017 Terrain Denali. I actually never even knew much about GMC except that they make trucks. Happened to be driving by on the way to a Jeep dealership to shop for the Grand Cherokee Limited, and thought I might as well do my due diligence and check out GMC since they had some good looking SUV's outside. Chris Adams happened to be the salesperson at the door, and I told him I was just exploring. He was the opposite of the hard sell, and more like a high-end concierge at a 5-star hotel. I work in Cambridge, and have done most of my car buying in Boston and Watertown, so it was completely random stopping up here in Lowell. So glad I did! Chris Adams basically asked me what I was interested in, asked interesting questions to try to figure out my goals, and only showed me cars that I might be interested in. When test driving, he also let me drive wherever I wanted with absolutely zero pressure to hurry back to the dealership. It really let me relax and try the car out. Then when we got back, he asked a few more questions to figure out how I felt--no pressure at all, he really was genuine in trying to understand my goals. I left the dealership thinking I'd end up in a Grand Cherokee, but after trying the Cherokee out and feeling the quality and comfort was a level below that of the Terrain, I waited a couple days before contacting Chris again. Not a single phone call from the dealer, which is what I'd requested, since I find phone calls and voicemails tiresome. We started the process over email, and Chris was super responsive and detailed.
A 10 out of 10 experience, I would get another GMC when it's time to get another car if Chris is still around just to deal with him.

Lance was open and honest in negotiation process. We got to a agreed upon price quickly, not a lot of trips between salesman and manager while negotiating the price. I shopped many dealerships for this vehicle both large and small and Lance was by far the best experience.

Bad Sales Experience - Goleen
I went to this dealership to purchase a new truck as its the closest GMC dealer to my home. I new the make and model of the vehicle i wanted to purchase as i had done my research and therefor did not think a test drive was necessary. The salesman refused to quote me a price on the vehicle or negotiate because i declined the test drive. I found this very odd and ended up buying the same truck at Lance GMC in Mansfield.
Dishonest Sales Manger - Peter64
I bought my first GMC truck from Quirk in 2012. Very pleasant experience. But 5 years later it went to crap. I went in for servicing, while I was there I inquired about a lease. It sounded good especially with the $18,500.00 they offered for trade value on my 2012. When I returned home there was a mailer from Quirk offering me the chance to buy a new vehicle at employee discount pricing, at $10,883.00 off of the price, plus combined with all rebates and discount incentives and up to 130% market value for my 2012. Wow did it sound almost too good to be true. Well it was! That evening I went to Quirks web site and found the truck of my dreams. A 2017 SLT Double Cab Sierra 1500, priced at $49,345.00 and marked down to $41,450.00 with discounts and rebates. So I figured with that mark down along with the offer in the mailer it was a truck I could afford. The next day I received a text from a Quirk web sales person that sent me a link to a web site that could give me the market value of my 2012. Which was $19,040.00 trade value. ( my 2012 is in mint condition with only 49, 332 miles at that time). Well I headed to Quirk thinking I'd be coming home with my new truck at a price I could afford. Wrong again. The sales manger told me all discounts and rebate incentive were already figured in the employee discount. Even though that's not how the mailed read. Well he wrote up the sales quote I noticed my trade value was only $19,400.00, which seemed low to me. I inquired about that and the manger stated he gave me 112% mark up on my trade which made my trade value only $17,321.00. When asked he said that's all my trucks worth and that the web site His employee gave me was just an opinion. ( before I went to Quirks I checked 2 other web sites for trade value and both were close to the trade value his web site gave me. I was begging to suspect a con going on. But what killed the deal and made me realize I was being lied to was when I asked him if I could get my Military Discount. He stated he already applied that. Well I knew right then he wasn't being Honest ! I looked into what discounts were available and what was required to receive them. The Military discount you have to prove that you were in or retired from the Military. The dealer has to document that and the Military Price must be detailed on the buyers order. ( I never told my salesman or the manger I was a Veteran ). So to me the manger is just a Lying Car salesman. As much as I like and trusted my original salesman Jack I'll never do business there again.

I had been to a couple of GMC dealers and they were all the same. All they cared about was selling me a car, any car. All I could think was that I was a victim of a "Glen Gary, Glen Ross" type of conspiracy. It was terrible and frightening. But I was sure I wanted a Terrain, so I looked arounf and found Dealer Rater that gave Prime GMC a lot of excellent reviews.
I was happy to find that Prime GMC is affiliated with Prime Inifiniti. I had bought a used car from Prime Inifiniti and it was surprisingly good, so I went to Prime GMC with intentions of leasing a Terrain.
At the dealership I was able to walk around without getting harassed by any hovering buzzards. I was even in the showroom for ten minutes just getting comfortable in the backseat of a Terrain, when Mark Beecher introduced himself with casual conversation. He was not practicing the ABCs according to Alec Baldwin.
Oh no, Mark Beecher's only concern was my happiness. He, and Prime, finally figured out that happy people will buy cars without having to go through turmoil and fear. He never even said that we better act fast because these deals won't last. I couldn't stay long and when I left Mark never asked for my phone number. Another salesman at another dealership figured out my phone number from my driver's license, which he used to relentlessly bombard me with inflated ( and maybe fictional) incentives to buy from him.
Mark is nothing but an honorable gentleman dedicated to making friends and building trust. He made sure that I got the exact car I needed and wanted at a fair price. A price that I'm sure could be beat, but I'm happy with my deal. He sent me over to see Ravi McDonnell to help with the finance, who is also a gem of a guy.
We are a two-car family. We plan to lease another car in 18 months, and I'll trade this one in 18 months after that. We expect to get the next car, and the ones after that, form Mark Beecher at Prime GMC, with Ravi McDonnell handling to numbers.
Terrible service on repairs and recalls - difficultywithacadiaservice
I own a 2010 Acadia which I bought from Robinson's GMC. There have been a number of recalls. I have brought my car in for scheduled repairs only to be told that the parts are not available. I now have a check engine light issue. I Goggled the code and learned that there were defective parts. GMC increased the Warranty on this item to 10 years and 120,000 miles. No one notified me. When I called the dealer to confirm and get it repaired, I was grumpily told to schedule an appointment and "we will see". I had to demand that he look it up first so I did not go to another appointment 25 minutes away just to be told whether my information was correct. I also received a notice on a liftgate recall which stated that it "may close unexpectedly, injuring you or your loved ones". I asked him about that. Again, his response was abrupt saying "that is all set" I had to ask 2 or 3 times. First he said it was all set on my car. When I told him it wasn't fixed he then said the notice was wrong and there is no issue. I have no confidence in him and will call GMC directly.
Bait and Switch - Craig
I told the sales team what car I wanted and what I wanted to spend After 3 visits looking at the same car and being told a price we went in to purchase the car. Arriving there on the 3rd visit I asked to test drive the car one more time so two sales reps walked out gave me the keys and put a plate on the car. After the drive I sat down and the accountant left to get the exact price (which we had already agreed on) but I figured they were adding plate and reg. as we already discussed tax with the original price. The sales rep and accountant returned to ask what car I was purchasing? I replied the car I just test drove and you put a plate on. This is the only car I looked at on the prior visit and all the voicemails I received were about. They told me that they couldn't sell that car for that price but had a different car with twice the mileage that they could. This was the classic bait and switch. I would never go to, call or purchase a car from this dealer. They wasted at least 8 hours of my time with repeated phone calls and 3 visits talking about this car.
Poor Customer Service!!! - kaylapercy14
I had recently had an issue with my 2014 Cruze and had to have it towed to Diamond on Thursday. They returned my car to me same day saying it was the negative battery cable (which is a common issue for the Cruze). Only a few hours later, my car started acting the same way it did before it was brought there so I brought it back. Next day, Friday, they looked at it again and replaced the battery. Josh called me up and assured me that my issue was resolved. Sure enough, Saturday morning it was still having issues. I called both Josh and the General Manager, leaving messages to both of them requesting they call me back. It is now Tuesday and I have not heard from either of them! I brought my car to a different Chevrolet dealership and they were able to diagnose the issue within a day. Considering I work at a different car dealership myself, I know what the process is and what kind of service I should be receiving and I was VERY dissatisfied! I would NOT recommend this service department to anyone...

Signed paperwork to purchase a vehicle from Marty's 6/30/17. They did not have a title to the vehicle and I felt unsure of signing but did. Left a $500 deposit on the vehicle. Driving home I called the dealer and spoke with Donald the salesman. I told him I had changed my mind about the purchase and wanted him to mail my check ($500 deposit) to me. I made myself perfectly clear about this. I visited the dealership the next weekend and saw my name still on the truck. I asked why my name was still on this truck and I was told it was just a hold tag because they still don't have the title. I again made myself perfectly clear I did not want this vehicle. Donald told me no problem his boss just took another truck in this past week and would contact me later when it is ready. I told Donald I was going to look at other dealers with the same type of truck. Well after several call to the dealership and talking with Donald and Ron the Sales Manager I have been promised this money would be returned within 48 hours. That time frame had passed and I called again. This time I spoke with Donald because the Sales Manager was not in. I asked to speak to te General Manager but was told he wasn't in either. During my conversation with Donald he told me the Sales Manager was handling that but would find out what was going on. Donald called me back within 15-20 minutes and told me the check was mailed out Monday 7/17. Guess what still haven't received the check.

Great Service, unexpected surprise - foodie42
I was really surprised at the excellent attention that was demonstrated by Rob Wayburn & Andrew. I wanted a preowned car within a certain price range. My first experience was with Robert several months prior, unfortunately I was unable to find anything at the dealership. Robert took my information and promised to notify me if anything comes in. At this point I was use to this being the last time I'll ever hear from a sales person. Pre-owned cars are a hit or miss issue as it is. To my great surprise, Robert called several months later with a potential car that will meet what I was looking for. SEVERAL MONTHS ! Rob, was attentive and kind, I actually ended up purchasing not the car Rob called about ( it did meet my needs ), but, a slightly more expensive car. I couldn't be more please with my experience as well as the car. I was treated very fairly & respectively. I has some minor issues that I wanted repaired or replaced. I went to Rob, he walked me to the service department & introduced me to Rich in the service department to make sure I knew who to go to. Rich was also friendly & very patient as I tried to explain my issues. Not a problem well take care of it. Even though this is not a GM product, I will continue to have my car serviced at this dealership. I just can't tell you how great my experience has been with Cape GM, Rob should be commended for his outstanding customer service skills, thus , making this dealership stand out more than others I have experience.

My experience leasing a GMC Acadia through my business was fantastic. Initial contact was made by me online. Jim sent me an email asking a few questions and he followed up with a voicemail. I emailed Jim back with what I was looking for and within a day he sent me a couple of options; I knew from online research that the deals Jim sent me were well below MSRP and they were very competitive. I have to admit that after looking up a few different vehicle makes online the Acadia was probably #3 on my preferred the list but the hassle free, ease of doing business with Lance put them over the top for me. Jim drove the Acadia to my office so I could take a test drive. I liked the car and told Jim to find me one (the one I test drove was almost exactly the model I wanted but not quite). He found me the car, I went to the dealership that night, signed some paperwork with Geoff who was very helpful setting up the lease through my company... and the car was delivered to me a couple of days later. The entire process went off without a hitch, Jim was attentive and made sure I got in the car I wanted, there was no pressure or shady tactics one sometimes sees from other car dealerships. All in all, I'm very happy with everyone at Lance.
