I went in for an oil change and left with a car - Ggerhardt
All the people we worked with (Mike, Adam, Frank, Dave, etc) were all very professional and courteous. We just told them we were getting an oil change and wanted to look at some cars while we waited. Adam showed us the cars we inquired about and never pressured us for purchasing but we wanted to find out what kind of deals were going on. The deals matched what was acceptable and we moved forward.
Throughout the process, everyone was great. We have now bought 4 cars / SUVs from Marquadt in the last 11 years and we couldn't be happier.

JP was absoulutly wonderful on finding me this car. Luke and Dave helped make it happen. In the last 7 months my family has purchased 7 cars from Darcy and all of them we love. Your treated as family. They don't jump down your throat and even made a 3 month check up for my car to make sure all is still okay. Love Darcy & will always support them! General Sales Manager
Customer for life - tammy1019
Having been in the automobile business for 20+ years, I understand how quickly a deaerlship can lose a customer with a bad experience or how they can earn a customer for life with a good experience. This can be a service experience or a car buying experience. I am happy to say, I had a wonderfile experience. When I took my Hyundai to this dealership for service work, I could not have been happier with the outcome. Work that I had previously had done at another repair facility was still giving me trouble (after bringing it back 3 different times). So, I took my car to Fox Valley Buick since it is so close to my house. Not only was the work completed when promised, but it was done for quite a bit less money than I had paid for the same repairs prior. Mark, the service director, was wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure that my car was fixed properly and was ready when promised. I will now bring my other 3 vehicles to this dealership for all my service needs. You have earned a customer for life.
A Dealshership That Surpasses The Rest - jwjohnnybgoode
I visited a number of dealerships before being fortunate enough to acquaint myself with Paul Sur. I experienced the highest integrity and professionalism that could ever be anticipated at a car dealership. The team, including, but not limited to Charles Burns and Bob Windland, were honest, helpful, considerate, and thorough. I am so grateful. You can rest assured, that if you are searching for an automobile dealership in Northwest Indiana that will surpass all others, and leave you a very satisfied customer, look no further than Paul Sur in Valparaiso.
Bait and Switch - joed123
I NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE I HAD AT MIKE HAGGERTY BUICK GMC .THEY ARE NOT HONEST WITH YOU AND WHEN YOU GET INTO THE BACK ROOM TO SIGN A DEAL YOU THOUGHT YOU MADE IT ALL CHANGES IN THERE. BAIT AND SWITCH,I`M GETTING FINANCED BY AAA FOR 1.9% . OH, AND MY CREDIT SCORE WAS 896 AND THEY HAD ME AT 5.99% FOR 72 MONTHS.I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT HAGGERTY AND HOW UNION GUYS ARE TREATED AND VETERANS.
Great buying experience @ Haggerty Buick Villa Park - D&M
Our salesman Tim was excellent to do business with. He made arrangements on his day off to set up a test drive for me and then later allowed us to take a longer drive which helped us with our decision to buy a Buick. Very fair trade in allowance given for our car. Tim and Tony worked out a good price on our new Buick. We felt no pressure at the Haggerty dealership and we really like that they are very convenient to our home. Also would like to thank Bill G for his input during my test drive.
Great Service - snowqueen
Very helpful at taking care of my questions and promptly diagnosing my vehicle. Thrilled with my experience. Everyone was so friendly, even the other customers in the lounge.
Good service but watch out for the HARD SELL! - cdberl
I have been happy with the service department at Harbor GMC until the last time. Several weeks ago I took my Terrian in for routine service and asked them to check over the brakes because of my mileage. I was happy to hear that my brakes were OK but when the service writer and mechanic called me into the bay they pointed out how my 60000 mile tires were not aligned and were wearing and I should have my fuel system serviced costing almost $250. Now, I was born, but it was not yesterday. Of course my tires are worn, they have 60000 miles on them. I felt like I was back at my local quickie oil change place and they were trying to scare a senior citizen into unneeded repairs. That is why I don't go the quickie oil change place. I like the service at Harbor, but do't do that again, and I will not be back.
ANNA SHIMDT WAS WONDERFUL TO DEAL WITH, SERVICE WAS GOOD - WHFelton
THIS WAS MY 4TH OIL CHANGE WITH HARBOR, THE YOUNG LADY ANNA SCHMIDT WAS WONDERFULE, VERY HELPFUL, VERY FRIENDLY, VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. THE SERVICE WAS DONE RIGHT AND CLEAN. I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER. HE WAS ARRAGANT, BERATED HIS EMPLOYEES IN FRONT OF ME, ARGUED WITH ME WHILE SITTING BEHIND HIS DESK THROUGH AN OPEN DOOR WAY ABOUT THE PRICE QUOTE I GOT AN EMAIL FOR. IF HE WAS THAT AGGRESSIVE DEALING WITH ME, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW CRAPPY HE MUST BE TO WORK FOR.....THE ONLY REASON I'M GIVING FULL STARS IS BECAUSE THE YOUNG LADY I DEALT WITH SHOULD NOT BE DRAGGED DOWN BY THE SERVICE MANAGERS INCOMPETENCE.
Above and beyond - Maria Catezone
The Service Manager, Mike the mechanic and their team went above and beyond taking care of my car. My car was burning oil, an obvious concern, but thanks to the great staff at Rizza Cadillac Buick GMC, my car was back in great condition after just three days. Rizza even provided me with a great loaner car while my car was being repaired. I highly recommend Rizza Cadillac Buick GMC.
This is a place to find your next car. - Sylvia Schneider
I can not say enough about the people at this dealership.... we were not mobbed as soon as we walked onto the lot... we took the time to look around before we decided to go inside...we were greeted by a young lady who called for a salesman to help us. We met Ray, and from there our adventure began. If i ever had to purchase another car, I would go back to this man in a heartbeat. He was fun, made the process very easy, and a real pleasure to work with.
From the men who bring you your car, to the young lady who walked us through the use of our new vehicle , to the finance department , we were met with smiles and a feeling of welcome.
This dealership has a top notch staff... kudos to you Ettleson Cadillac-Buick-GMC, Inc.!!!!
Fast and friendly service! - Andrea Harden
I am always pleased when I walk into the Chevy Dealership here in Dekalb,IL. Everyone is always nice and greet you at the door. I usually get help from Jason who takes care of my vehicle needs. He always give me options as to what I can do to take care of my car. Rather its choosing the most affordable tires or my vehicles future needs that I need to keep in mind. When my car Axel needed repair I couldn't afford it right away, and that's when Jason offered me a dealers car to get back and forth to work for the week. I really appreciated that! He encouraged me to take care of my important bills like my rent that was due the same day that my vehichle broke down, and to prioritize. I felt carefree because of Jason, knowing that he was doing everything that he could to help until I came up with the money I needed to repair my car. He took the stress and heavy burdens off of my shoulders, and I can't say that any other dealership have ever treated me that well! I recommend everyone I know to visit Dekalb Chevrolet. Whenever I come to get something as simple as an oil change these guys take care of me right away. My wait time is not long and my visits are always pleasant! The refreshments are great and I feel very comfortable walking into that place trusting that they will take care of my vehicle needs in the most fast and friendly way possible. Thank you Dekalb Chevrolet!!
Horrible Service Department - Scott G
What defines a good or bad car dealer?
Here is what defines Woody Buick -
Unresolved - 3 visits and 20 days at the dealer and the car is still not fixed!
Rude - What their service writers are to you when you bring your car back with the same problem.
Progress Updates – Not at Woody Buick! I would only get a call several days later letting me know the car was ready to be picked up.
Troubleshoot & Repair - Found the sensor with the problem and replaced it twice but it did not correct the problem. Instead of troubleshooting further to see if another module or an electrical problem could be causing the sensor to malfunction. They just gave the car back to me.
God – What Buick tech support thinks when they tell the service department “This is a normal operating condition” and all work stops on your car!
Qualified – Clearly their techs who worked on my car are not qualified. Found some extra screws in my cup holder that the tech forgot to put back in. Luckily I knew where the screws went and was able to reassemble the panel correctly. They are even unable to put the car back together correctly.
Customer Satisfaction – On a scale of 1 to 10, I give them a 1. Why a 1 and not a 0? They did give me a loaner….
Negative - My entire experience with Woody Buick has been nothing but negative. This has to be the most unprofessional dealer I have ever dealt with. If you want to avoid the headache and stress I have been put through. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO WOODY BUICK!!

$16k Lemon - Angry
Husband bought Jeep from them through our dealership in Portage wi. It arrived and the navigation touch screen is shot and doesn't work. 2 days later Husband puts it in 4 wheel drive and cable snaps. I called Harvard and he says " it was in working order when it left my lot" I disagree ! From Illinois to Wisconsin it just quit working. If you're looking for a vehicle and come across Harvard dealership....Run with your checkbook tightly in your grasp. Dishonest people!! DoNot recommend these Dishonest people !! We bought a $16k Lemon!
Deplorable Treatment Of Established Customers - Angry Customer
I purchased a vehicle from the dealership. It was a 2005 Dodge Caravan. Unfortunately, It was not without problems. I was told that someone at the dealership took a check that I had written when she left. I had to put a stop payment on it and when I came back to make the final payment on my car, it was agreed that I could pay the final amount less the stop payment check fee. Interestingly enough, I received call about a balance due for that amount for at least a week after the sale was finalized. This should not have happened. Even so, I was still pleased with my vehicle so I decided to keep an option open for another car purchase.
I came on November 23, 2016 to look at a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer. After being given assurances that it was still in inventory, when I got there, the sales people claimed that it could not be located – which should have told me something. Even so, I was shown and drove a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer instead. I admit that it was a nice vehicle and I was interested in purchasing it. However, the salesman Walter was new and he said that he “needed to get one of the more experienced sales people involved.”
An African American man came over – I believe that his name was Kevin. I had dealings with him with the previous vehicle. However, what happened next was absolutely ridiculous. Please keep in mind that I intended to be a repeat customer. However, he “took a look” at my vehicle and told me that it was only worth somewhere around $500.00. he started to talk down to me because I told him that my wife wanted to look at the car that I intended to purchase first. He stated all of the work that would have to go into taking in my vehicle as a trade in, and could be worth more to his “friend” at another dealership,” but they would want my car right away.
I was SHOCKED! I told him that I could not commit to a purchase without my wife looking at the car and that I wanted to know how much my trade in was
worth – telling him multiple times that I never had a car before that I owned free and clear for a trade in value. He was further condescending by asking me repeatedly how much I thought it was worth. When I told him that I had no idea and he realized that HE was not going to make a sale – even though Walter was the assigned salesman – he just got up and walked away to another customer. Quite frankly, I am disgusted with this whole situation.
Extra effort should have been put forth because I am an established customer.
There is no way that my car is only worth $500.00 because I was intent on trading in a newer car against the older one that they wanted to sell to me.
The 2003 Lancer that I originally wanted is still listed in your inventory and a price difference should have been considered on my behalf because the 2002 car was not the one that I wanted.
And finally, they have shown me just how you treat established customers. Therefore, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THEM AGAIN
great experience - Thomas Kodosky
bought my first pickup, excellent price. great support, including several phone calls and one visit with salesman after purchase, to clarify manual info. better support than I ever expected or have had elsewhere.
Wasn't planning to buy AT ALL, but we did! - NYB
Had been thinking of perhaps replacing my ten year old minivan but could not decide what to get. Ultimately we thought for our purposes a Yukon XL was best choice, but decided to wait a year. Happened to notice Howard had a used Yukon XL Denali, so while we were on Grand for another reason, just stopped in to take a look. Long story short, Joe, great salesman, showed us everything on the vehicle, let us take it home for the night and we ended up buying. Just about everyone we encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. Service folks super nice, too. (And when I say we weren't planning to buy I mean it: I had just gotten an oil change, new tires and had a full tank of gas!)
Terrible customer service - djbstl
I contacted the dealership a week ago about a used car that was in stock. I made an appointment on a Monday to come see it on a Tuesday. I called the dealership on Tuesday before traveling 3 hours to confirm that the car was not sold and was on the lot. The person I spoke with said it was on the lot and my appointment was on the calendar.
About 90 minutes into my drive, I receive a call from a salesperson telling me that the car was sold the day before (Monday). Apparently they didn't update their records properly is what I'm told. Mind you, I was told earlier in the day that the car was on hold for me and was ready for me to view it at my scheduled appointment.
How this happens is beyond me as with today's technology, inventory updates are pretty simple to do. Considering they wasted my time, I advise you do not waste your time and take your hard earned money to someone else that gives quality customer service. Terrible dealership and terrible service.
