I decided to lease a new Jeep Wrangler Sport and also decided to go locally to Dick Scott. Once I was there, I was greeted by Jacin Lohman who helped choose which type of jeep to look at and get. After one was chosen, it was very smooth and easy to find one. Also, shipping the vehicle to the dealership took less time than stated. An overall very honest and easy experience as a first time leaser.

Knew what we wanted, they had it and the transaction went very quickly. Only problem was the surprise at lease agreement signing. There is a $395 fee at lease termination!! You're being penalized when you fulfil your less obligation and simply want to turn the car in. Unbelievable but true. Did not face this with competitor Lease I just terminated.

I recommend folks that are doing a trade in to educated yourself on the value of your car first. I have purchased two different vehicles from Blue Water Chrysler Dodge Jeep over the last 5-6 years. Steve Higgins in sales is a fantastic salesman, willing to go the extra mile to make sure his customers are taken care of. The used car manager Steve Kudzia was good to work with as well. They were willing to deal with me on a reasonable price and were quick to get me set up with all the proper paperwork. I purchased a used Durango recently and after I got it home I noticed there was a fog lamp out and one other small inconvenience. I called salesman Steve Higgins and he put me in touch with the repair department. The service department made sure my problems were solved and in quick order, without charging me a penny. Their customer service is the best I've experienced over the years. I would recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately I don't have positive news to post about but I will share this issue that I'm having. But before I start I do want to be respectful to those who do care and try to make this a better business.
After dropping off my car for a routine oil change plus having some one from the service center drive my car to check a noise coming from the back tires. I was unfortunately supprised by the fact that my car was completely dirty and covered in dirt. What is making me angry is the fact that I specifically said that the "noise coming from the back" can only be heard on a smooth road and not on a rough road. So why was my car taken on a dirt road as well as if I dropped off my car clean why was it given back to me dirty and highly unprofessional manner?
I feel sorry for the poor souls that have to take the wiping from angry customers but small things like this add up and with time this will catch up with them.

Lafontaine CJDR is excellent, especially when compared to other mid-Michigan competitors. They were the only ones that were willing to negotiate a price in good faith and complete the deal. Other stores would gladly let you walk, not return calls and emails, or simply stonewall their a buyer. I can only hope that their service department is as cooperative if I need them.

First time service customer last time customer period. Window dropped into the door. Called for appointment and got one at 7am. I was told it was a one day job. I checked in at 1pm and was told they were too busy to look at or diagnose my truck. Offered no free rental, just excuses on why my truck that had an appointment couldn't be even looked at. Told them ok I'll come get it and bring it back in the morning but that was a no go either, apparently that would put me back to the end of the line. I get much better service for my Ford. Taking my truck and my money to another dealership tomorrow.
Be wary of their pre owned department - Mdc
I purchased a used 2014 Durango from Golling and found the service to be horrible. First they failed to get our license plate to us before the temporary tags expired. They offered to mail us our plate to save us a trip back to the dealership but they did not send it with a tracking number and to this day we still have not received the original plate. Upon bringing this to their problem they offered little by way of a solution until three days after the temps expired and the they agreed to overnight a replacement plate. On our first road trip with our Durango we drove south for spring break and quickly discovers that the air conditioning did not work. As part of the purchase I insisted that the Durango be put in the Chrysler Certified Pre Owned program which should have included a 125 point inspection. I am not sure they did they inspection because the Durango has been in the repair shop for a week to repair AC problem. In addition to the AC problem we experienced electrical problems with the entertainment system and potential transmission issues. When they took the car back to work on the AC I gave them also emailed the used car manager detailing the other discrepancies none of which were communicated to the service team until l called to check on the progress. All of this has caused me to lose any faith that the pre Owned inspection was actually completed or that they actually care about service after the sale.

If I could I would give 0 stars. I dealt with Mike Bens, he used to work at Westborn Chrysler Dodge Jeep and went by Joe Bens. When he went to this dealership he called my step dad (who purchased and leased a vehicle from him at Westborn) and he told him where he was currently at. My step dad told him what we wanted to do and he had us come in to talk about some options. My mother and I went up there on Saturday, 3/18, to talk to him and get some ideas. When he asked what kind of vehicle that I wanted I originally told him that I wanted a used vehicle and he talked me into a new vehicle. I told him if we went with new on what I wanted. He showed me a Jeep Laredo Altitude which he stated was a step up from the normal Laredo and he stated that the normal Laredo doesn't have leather seats, touch screen radio, heated seats, back up camera. I knew that this stuff wasn't true because we have a 2011 Jeep Laredo that has leather seats, touch screen radio, heated front seats, and a back up camera. I told him that I do not want to lease and that I would like to purchase and he told me round about what it would cost to purchase a brand new jeep then told me how much it would cost for a lease. Since this was towards the end of the day on Sat we told him that we would come back on Monday with the Jeep that we wanted to possibly trade in and with my step dad. Monday, 3/20, comes around and all 3 of us go up there. We talked about getting into a new Jeep and trading in the 2011 Jeep that we have. Mike told us that it would be appraised for $8K and told us how much the payments would be to roll in the rest of what was owed on it. At that point we decided to not trade in the Jeep and just try to get the Jeep in my name. He came back with prices for 12k miles I told him that I would like 15K miles. He came back with that price all 3 of us thought that it was reasonable and I gave him my info to run my credit. He came back to where we were and told me that they have to go through a lot and that he would give me a call the next day. I thought this was strange because when I leased a vehicle from Ford I knew right then and there if I could get approved or not. Tues, 3/21, comes around and I get a call from Mike and he told me that I didn't get approved because I don't have enough credit stated that all that they see on my credit was a whole bunch of student loans (which I know I have more on my credit than just that) we talk about what to do with a co-signer. Weds, 3/22, I get a call from Mike and he asked if we did the credit app online. I told him that after talking about it we are not going to go through with it and that we would need the $500 back. He told me that he will go through the financing dept and get that reversed. Later that day I spoke to my step dad and he said that AFTER I spoke to Mike he went and called him. My step dad told him that we were not going to do anything and that I couldn't get a co-signer. Mike talked my step dad into trying and he told him that he got approved and that we could trade in the Jeep as well and the price would go from $417 to $462. My step dad told him that he would talk to me about it. Thurs, 3/23, gets here and Mike calls me asking if I spoke to my dad I told him that he told me that he would get with me AFTER he speaks to him. Mike and I hung up. Around 4:10 I get a call from my step dad saying that the payments would be $489 a month. My step dad called an spoke to the finance dept and he was told they do not want our jeep and that I didnt get approved b/c I have to much on my credit even though I made payments on my other lease. They said it would be $489 with us keeping the Jeep and with him as a co-signer. Mike is a big liar and will do anything to get a sale. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!!

Tried this dealership after another service center was unable to fix my squeaking brakes after changing all four of them. They fixed my problem during a routine oil change with no delays. Service was fast and Bill, the service manager, was helpful and courteous! Will definitely recommend them to my family and will be a returning customer as well.
Great Salesman - Inflexible Dealership - andymoraitis
I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger Scat pack from Chris Eagleson. Chris was very attentive and worked through multiple deals and options. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient in trying to structure the best deal for me. He also secured very good value for my trade in which was 15% higher than any other area dealer. I felt that he was on my side and fighting for my best interests.
While Chris jumped through hoops to treat me as a valued customer, he was limited in what he could do price wise. We were unable to get any money off of the sticker price other than a paltry $500 dealer rebate. I felt that although Chris tried his hardest, that the team above him was inflexible and unwilling to negotiate.
My experience was bittersweet. I felt that I got the exact car that I wanted and received excellent service from my salesman but that the rest of the dealership didn't go the extra mile. In the end, the attitude of "we don't care if you don't buy it because someone else will" soured my experience. Selling cars is all about building relationships. Orchard sold me a car but didn't create the relationship that would turn me into a repeat customer. I'm not sure I would even return for service, which is where dealerships make their money, other than to get my free oil change.
Overall, Chris is amazing. I would buy from him again regardless of what dealership he worked for, but I certainly wouldn't want to deal with anyone else at Orchard.
