Waist of time and effort - Larrdog
Visited the dealer on Saturday. Found a truck I wanted. Explained to the sales associate I would not be buying for a week to my house refinancing went through. I told him I would return the following Saturday and talk price , not wanting to waist his time. I'm in sales myself. With 35years of experience. I get it. He had no truck knowledge at all. But was pleasant. Couldn't answer any of my questions. The next week I was hounded by 1-2 phone calls a day. After the third day i was agitated. Asked them not to call any longer. Day 5 , Patrick called. Said was the fleet manager. Said he had a offer I couldn't resist. After telling him I was tired being of the calls. He abruptly hung up on me. I called him back, would not answer the phone or return my calls. How he became a sales manager is beyond me. I returned the next Saturday giving them the another chance. Because they were the were the only dealer that had the truck I wanted. Talking to a another sales associate, he was a nice guy, but also had no truck experience. After the test drive,I said lets do it. Paying with cash , I still had to go through a exausting credit application process which was unnecessary. Negotiations went fairly fast. We made a offer, basically told were out of our minds. Made a second offer, said that was at there cost. Said they could not sell the truck for that. They just sat there looking at us . Wouldn't give us any indication of what we could buy the truck for . So I thanked them for there time and we left with no truck. The funny thing is the price they said they couldn't do, was there advertised price on the web site. huh!! I must be a idiot. Returning to another dealership we visited the first Saturday, we were welcomed back buy a young sales associate very well informed on ram trucks. With in 30 minutes we were in the sales office and had negotiated a fair deal. Although it was not the same truck, it was close enough. NO hassles. On my way home with my new truck, I received a call from Jack Powell saying they would except my offer. I don't know about you but that's B.S!! I had already driven 60 miles, you expect me to come back! if they would be a little more considerate of there customers, they would of had another sale that day. Obviously the day wasn't as prosperous as anticipated it would be !!
Aweful and unproffesional - nsignorine
Horrible service and attention to detail dropped
Off vehicle for a Safety recall and discussed the need for A Shuttle Back to work. Was told no problem as long as within 10 miles checked and was good to go. After pulling in to an over flowing service line @1000 30min prior to my appt. I waited 20 min and was never approached by anyone I then approached a service office full of lazy laughing fools whom looked at me with blank stare. I was then asked i needed service at the service office !!! I stated yes and that I was waiting by the back of the long line of cars . Only then did two guys pull up the several cars sitting in the service line so I could check in. At this point reminded about the shuttle I had previously discussed as I was missing work. I was sat on a bench and told that at 1030 it would take 25-30 to get a shuttle driver to bring me , I stated ok and sat there while I looked at an empty shuttle sitting in front of one of the service lines. 35-40min later I approached the same employee who looked surprised by me and I asked what's up with the shuttle? He then stated oh yes let me call him. WTF. He quickly switched to Spanish and told the shuttle driver that he had someone whom he told 30 min how long till he returned. Upon hanging up he then told me 30-35 min I said another 30 min huh. To which he replied 45-1hr . Sorry sir the driver whom I never saw show , had to drive to Point Loma. After another 30 min with no one approaching me other than. Pushy salesman as I roamed the lot. I obtained a 20 dollar uber ride back to work .nobody called me or asked where I went or tried to get me this shuttle. My initial service call and check in had informed me that it would be complete by the latest at 5-530pm . At 648pm after no call or update I called to find out what was going on with my car. I was put on hold and then told that there was no way that the vehicle was going to be complete today as they close at 8. So after 8 hrs I assume my vehicle was never touched. So I have to find friends to drive me to work as well as get my children to school tomorrow. Dodge service has never been good but . Perry dodge wins the absolute worst of worst in my book. Thank you
Not military friendly!False incentives and overpricing - Savy Customer
The salesman are absolutely unreliable. Went three days in a row, I was pushed off for at least an hour on two of those days. I was given an initial price of $30,500 for a Jeep Wrangler sport day one. Day two I was ignored for an hour by Sergio my "salesman"... So I leave...Sergio comes running out chasing the car. I'm thinking I'm already gone he doesn't want my business. 2 minutes later he calls me promising me $1,200 off so I told him to call me with the total price. He calls back telling me the total price is now $30,900. Tell me how a $1,200 discount adds $400. So that's what I asked him...Then he comes back offering an additional $1,000 off. So I tell him im looking for lower than that, and that I need to think about it over night. So day three rolls around, he made no effort to contact me! I called him and he begs me for my business promsing another $500 off. So I listen to him, I'm thinking I'm at $2,700 off the original price now. So I go to the dealership and meet with Sergio. He immediately throws me off to another salesman that showed no interest. So we go through the whole process again and I get my out the door number with this new salesman. I'm at $30,500 out the door once again. Where's the $2,700 discount that Sergio promised me, no clue....I say I can't do that..manager comes out and tells me that he doesn't know what the previously manager agreed upon and he couldn't go any lower. Made no effort to contact him just basically pushed me out the door. They thought I didn't have funding. I came in pre approved, im just not willing to give them all my information.. They thought they would get their way with me because I am young and in the military. Theyre only looking for people to screw over with overpriced vehicles. I wouldn't send anyone I care about there. San Diego Chrysler dodge and jeep will no longer have business if I could help it. Crooked as it gets. False discounts and wasted time. They new it was an hour drive for me and still did that.
Worst purchase experience - flamedduck
Similar experience as other reviewers. Floor manager was horrible to work with. This dealership is so desperate for sales, that they try all kinds of shenanigans to make more money. I would definitely recommend bringing your own financing unless you want your credit run with 12+ banks...
