I had a rather "unique" situation - a college student who's Mom was buying the car. She is brought to tears with the thought of going to a car dealership so I did the research, visited dealers, etc. When I first met Ali and explained the situation, not once did he "blow me off" or think I wasn't serious, which a few other dealers did.


From the first handshake to pulling off the lot, Ali was courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I had a trade in, a 2002 Volvo that, to put nicely, was run into the ground and Ali worked to get the best price for a car with many electrical and mechanical problems. He also got us an out the door quote prior to trade in that was very good and helped seal the deal. I visited the dealership three times, alone once and with my Mom twice. Even though Ali was quite busy, he still took time to help us out and treated us as if we were the only ones there. A week had gone by between our second visit and third to actually purchase the car and during that week we went back and forth with Ali via phone and Email a few times. I let Ali know when we would come in and he everything ready to go when we got there and the final closing was extremely quick and painless. Over a very pleasant experience. We would recommend Ali

We had a great experience at Congressional VW. Ali was extremely helpful -- he was not pushy, but he was very knowledgeable and shared information without pressuring us. When we decided to buy, the price negotiation took only a few minutes - no big sales pitch or back and forth on price.

Ali was also very up front about the challenges of finding just the vehicle we wanted, but he also went out of his way to make sure that he could find it. He spent a great amount of time orienting us to the features of the car once we purchased it as well.

I would definitely shop at this dealership, and with Ali Hatam, again.

I can't say enough about our positive experience at Congressional Motors. Our salesperson Ali was friendly and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. We had two visits to the dealership looking at cars and took two test-drives, but we didn't feel pressure to buy - this made us much more comfortable and confident with our final decision. When we returned for the closing the paperwork was easy and the financing manager was incredibly friendly and informative. As a first-time buyer it was hugely reassuring to deal with such competent staff. The price on the car was fantastic and after the great buying experience we will definitely return when we purchase our second car in the coming months.

The entire car buying experience was efficient, pleasant and exceptionally well-informed. Ali was knowledgeable and interested in the cars we were considering. He took the time to understand our needs and our perspective. Without pushing us, he provided the information that we wanted in order to make our decision. From that point on, the process was highly efficient and at the same time cordial and easy.

I had such a great experience at Congressional Motors. My salesman, Ali, was extremely friendly, provided great service and experience, and made it so easy to choose my new car. He was even able to get me a much better financing deal that I had come in with!

Dana was also great to work with as well, both funny and knowledgeable. Usually taking care of all the paperwork feels like forever, but Dana made the whole process seem much shorter that it really was. I love my car and appreciate the great service that came with it!

I was greeted at the door by a VERY FRIENDLY smile. I went in to check out the new Beetle and walked out with a new Jetta! Ali was so very informative and kind and worked with me and my needs. I had such an awesome experience and becasue of him, I am a new car owner!! VW definitely has great customer service and for that they have really won me over and gained a loyal customer who will always recommend a VW :)
