Very unhappy with my purchase of my 2015 Mazda 3 from D.E.L. Motors. $14k for this car $16k with fees and taxes. With 40k miles on it. There mechanic really should have inspected things better. I doub D.E.L. Motors. $14k for this car $16k with fees and taxes. With 40k miles on it. There mechanic really should have inspected things better. I doubt he inspected at all. Coolant was very low. Wiper blades needed replaced. Both air filters were very filthy. Very little wiper fluid. A bunch of leaves under the engine cover. AC wasnt working. Didn’t test it when I bought it because it was -15 degrees windchill that day so I didn’t notice it until a little over a week later. The infotainment center is defective. As it selects items on the screen on its own, constantly. Which is very annoying. The key fob is aftermarket. Car has a key malfunctioning light on all the time at the moment. It doesn’t unlock the doors or open the trunk. They said they will pay for the oem key fob at the time of purchase. Sway bar link was disconnected. Noticed by my mechanic 1 day after buying the car They said they would pay the $115 to fix it. Only because the pictures they sent me of the undercarriage prior to looking at the car had shown it was not in place. Steel wheels must have been covered with a cheap black paint at first because i didn’t notice they were very rusty until a week later. Maintenance guidance system doesn’t work. That’s probably why Rick Robert’s (the salesmen) told me he didn’t know for sure when the oil was changed last. Shocks need replaced. Lastly the alignment needs done. Of course they denied there being anything wrong with the vehicle when we first purchased it. All of these things were discovered in the first 3 days except the ac. When asked to make things right and pay just $500 for the screen to be fixed. Or to just return the car. The new owner (Joshua Lacer) relayed the message that he would not pay for it to get fixed. I asked to speak to him multiple times. He wouldn’t speak to me. So It’s already hard enough to buy a new car. Then to deal with all this after you buy a car. It’s ridiculous. I’d expect this from buying vehicle from a private party. not from a dealership for. That’s why you pay dealerships more than you pay private parties. They are supposed to take care of all this stuff. So it seems that the place has good reviews but it’s probably because the place is been open for 40 years and the owners dad ran it up until recently. Also we are from out of town. I’m sure people in town get treated better. I feel like the new owner is going to let his dad‘s (Donald Lacer) company go to crap though More
My husband and I bought a 2014 used Chevy Malibu with roughly 119,000 miles on it not even two months ago. Out of those two months, we have only been able to drive the car for ONE week. When my husband t roughly 119,000 miles on it not even two months ago. Out of those two months, we have only been able to drive the car for ONE week. When my husband test drove the car, everything appeared to run smoothly. When we picked up the keys the next day, the car immediately began making an intense squealing noise and one of the headlights was out. We then called D.E.L. Motors immediately and asked to bring the car back as my husband and I desperately needed a car and paid all cash (which is significant for us as we are college students). We were told that they "do not do that kind of thing," so we ended up driving the car home. The squealing began to intensify and after waiting for their recommended dealership in our area to look at the car, which would have taken almost two weeks, we opted to take it to a trusted mechanic. Upon inspection the car had a water pump that was leaking, a bad alternator belt, and the AC compressor was the WRONG one for the car. All of this transpired after Rick had told us that their "mechanic" (I use this term very loosely as they missed all of the afore mentioned issues with the car) had changed all the belts and inspected the car. It then took almost a whole week for Rick to work out the payment method to the mechanic we chose after he communicated only after we called him. Mind you, he also ignored us for a few days as well citing that he was "very busy". On top of this, the dealership refused to pay for a new AC compressor since it wasn't "their fault," yet they somehow missed it upon their inspection of the car before they sold it to us. I would like to say that this is where the issues with our used car ends, but sadly it is not. I drove the car to work for one day and immediately the engine light came on and several warnings began to flash. Before we were even able to get it in, the car completely stalled, and we had to get it towed. The car ran for one week and this morning would not start again. This will make a total of three times we have had to take it back into a mechanic to have it looked at. My husband and I are both aware of the dangers of buying a used car, but the extent to which we have had issues is beyond ridiculous. To add on to the matter, the tires which they filled were 20 PSI over the max limit. Again, this is something even my husband knows better than to do even with his limited car experience. Another issue that arose was when the mechanic shop accidentally forgot to add the headlight charge on to the dealership's portion of the bill. I emailed Rick the receipt and requested that he send us a refund check for the headlight as soon as possible (we were told the day we took the car off of the lot that they would reimburse us for it). Rick then proceeded to ignore my email for four days and only responded to me after I sent a follow up email asking that he at least give the courtesy of acknowledging that he received it. He also said that he would immediately send us a check that day (November 1), and we have yet to get a check in the mail. Overall, I would never ever recommend going to D.E.L. Motors. Please do not let the good reviews fool you into thinking it will be a safe option. We unfortunately took a gamble and now we have a car that barely works. More

They gave us a more than tremendous deal on our trade in vehicle and worked with us on some minor details in terms of purchasing and pickup, due to a preplanned event. Rick Roberts was fantastic to work with. Highly recommend! More

I have to say my experience at Del Motors was one of the best. Having recently moved to Kansas from Korea my husband and I were in need of a second vehicle. They worked to ensure it was within our price range and they didn't pressure us into purchasing something higher than our price range. Very friendly. More

I became aware of DEL Motors via a Kelley Blue Book listing of available small trucks. It is a two hour drive from Overland Park, KS to Junction City, KS but it proved worth the time and effort. I worked with Amy Armstrong from the test drive to the final negotiated price/delivery and found Amy to be very thorough, professional, customer friendly and available via phone or e-mail to answer all my questions. There is something special about dealing with a company that puts the customer first and is always willing to listen to your needs and not resort to high pressure tactics to get a sale. I plan to do more business with Amy and DEL Motors and I have mentioned this "jewel" of the Flint Hills to numerous friends. Make the call and take the scenic drive--you will not regret it. More

I got exactly what I wanted and at no point did I feel pressured into the sale which is sadly the case at most dealerships. I would recommend it to anyone. A big thanks to Miranda and the rest staff at D.E.L Motors. More
