My Review Of Walker Ford:
I can't think of anything that Walker Ford could have done to make this an even more pleasurable experience. Bill Mansfield was our salesmen. Working with Bill was a very comfortable, no stress, experience. We knew what we wanted to buy and about how much we wanted to pay. Unlike other dealer experiences, Bill did not try to sell us something "off the lot" just to make a quick sale. It was clear that we would have to order what we wanted and Bill was very helpful in explaining options that we weren't sure of. When it came to price, Bill and his boss, Bill Gordon, were quick to say "okay, we can give you the price you want to pay". So, there wasn't any long drawn out negotiation or pressure. I was glad we could complete the deal because I had had 8 years of experience with their service department and have never had better service anywhere else. Harry Rumberger was the finance person and he answered my finance questions and made all of the paperwork go smoothly. While we were waiting for my new truck to arrive, Bill kept in touch via email, answering a few questions I had forgotten to ask during our visit. I was interested in keeping my trade-in's tires which were very new and a brand I preferred over what I expected to get with my new truck. Bill talked to his boss and told me "something could probably be worked out". It turned out that my new truck had the brand of tires I wanted and a swap out was not necessary. But, I think this illustrates the attitude and value system of Walker Ford - they want satisfied customers and will try very hard to achieve this. Everyone I have ever dealt with at Walker has been just great. I think Walker puts a lot of emphasis on hiring and retaining people with the right "attitude" as well as having the skills needed for their particular job.
