My Review Of Lamoureux Ford:
I had the absolute best experience with Bob Parker and Lamoureux Ford in purchasing a new 2014 Mustang.
I had not purchased a car since 2002, and when it was time to buy a new car this Spring, I was hesitant about finding the right dealer. I knew that I was interested in a new Ford Mustang to replace my 11 year old model, but I wanted to make sure that the experience of purchasing a new car was a positive one. I have had mixed experiences in the past with other dealers, and I really wanted to feel confident in the integrity and friendliness of a car dealer since I don’t buy cars that frequently.
I had initially placed a few calls to local Ford dealers (Boston area), and was not impressed. No one was willing to talk over the phone about model availability, pricing, or any details. They were vague and only were interested in having me visit the dealerships I had called.
After those initial conversations, I located Lamoureux Ford through Dealer Rater.com. I was impressed by the strong positive reviews, and the certification of being the highest Ford dealership rated in the state of Massachusetts. I placed a call to Bob Parker, and we had a very relaxed conversation about the car I was searching for, my expectations, and generally who I am. Bob kindly took all of the information and asked if he could call me back the next day once he had completed some research.
The next day Bob called, and we talked again. Over the phone, he provided details about the sales price of the new car that I was interested in. Then we talked about the value of my car (pending an inspection by his team). If I was interested, then we could also explore financing options. I was very comfortable given that he distinguished all three of these aspects of a sale (new car price, old car trade-in price, and financing). Nothing is more confusing when a sales person starts rolling all three inputs into one deal.
I drove to the dealership the following Saturday and met Bob. Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly. I was impressed and I decided to order a car from the Ford factory so that I could have the exact options that I was seeking. Bob took all of the information, and we agreed on a price (which in my opinion was a very fair deal). The car would take ~8-10 weeks to build. I also met with Peter Stafford to discuss financing. He was easygoing and informative as well, and he did talk about additional options, but there was no hard sale of extra features. Additionally, while I was there, Marc Lamoureux came over and introduced himself. We talked a good deal about Ford and car sales in general, and he also went out of his way in helping me, along with Bob and Peter. It was a great, relaxed experience, and I was very satisfied.
The best news was that my car was ready after only ~6 weeks, and there was an additional Ford company sales incentive that occurred while my car was being built. Lamoureux honored that new incentive as well. When I picked up my car, Bob and Marc greeted me again. The paperwork (as well as the behind the scenes insurance, financing, registration and inspection details coordinated by Bob) went smoothly.
Bob took me out to the new car, and spent a good deal of time explaining all of the details. This new car has many electronic features on the dash that I had never used prior-hand, and Bob was great and patient in walking through all of these features.
I drove away extremely happy, and I love my new car and highly praise the service, pricing and overall experience I had with Lamoureux. A good friend of mine is thinking of purchasing a Ford product in the next year and we definitely will return to Lamoureux. The location isn’t exactly convenient to me (I live over an hour away), and there are several Ford dealers where I live, but I would return to Lamoureux in a heartbeat.
Everything was top notch and I highly recommend working with Bob Parker and Lamoureux Ford.
