A veteran of the automobile industry since 1984, Ed says that BMW has greatly expanded its customer base over the years because of its products, programs and warranties.
Not to mention leasing options: “BMW is very aggressive with lease programs,” he says. “They structure them so they’re affordable to more people.” As for warranties, “We’re one of the few companies with a 4-year or 50,000 mile warranty that also covers maintenance, including oil changes and brakes. You really don’t have expenses during that warranty period,” he notes.
Ed believes the key to success in this industry is relationship building. “If you’re at one place for a long time, you really get an opportunity to build business relationships that also become friendships. As a result of that, people tend to feel comfortable referring, whether it be their friends or their family or co-workers . . . I just try to figure out what they want and make things work.”
