My Review of Pacific Volkswagen:
I was referred to Chris Estrada at Pacific VW by two friends, and I was not disappointed! My last car buying experience was 12 years ago and back then I walked into the dealership cold, and got the old-school hard-sell type sales guy. Because of that I was dreading the car-buying experience, but I had nothing to worry about. Chris was great - friendly, professional, helpful, knowledgable - he answered all my questions and gave me alot of information but didn't try to sell or talk me into anything. If I was considering something, he would help me think through the pros and cons, but without pushing either way. George Dunbar was the finance guy I had, and he also presented options and information about the add-ons but did not pressure me at all into choosing anything. I felt comfortable with both Chris and George and felt that they were there to help me through the process and make sure I was happy with my choices, they weren't there just to make the sale. I will recommend them and Pacific VW!

We were sent to Pacific Volkswagen through the Costco Program. It seemed a bit far (as there were closer VW dealerships) but in the end well worth it. It was easy and pleasant. Buying a car has almost always been a bad experience where I leave mad and frustrated and wondering if I got screwed. We were pleasantly surprised that we had a positive experience at Pacific VW. I would highly recommend George Dunbar. He was honest and helped us feel relaxed and happy and confident about our purchase.

My Review of Pacific Volkswagen:
I ended up at Pacific VW after throughly researching what car I wanted, the Golf 4 Door TDI with manual transmission. I had used an auto search company recommended by my credit union, price was much higher, they could not get exactly what I wanted and tried to sell me additional options I had no interest in. A friend connected us with Pacific and I was put in touch with George Dunbar. He found exactly what I wanted, less one option that I wasn't set on, and gave me a very good price in comparison to the other company and what I was able to find online. Once I made my final decision and had my financing ready, I called George and he had everything ready and waiting within a couple of days. When I arrived at the dealership the car was out front ready and waiting for my test drive. George spent a fair amount of time with me going over all the features of the car which I appreciated. Afterwards the paperwork and formalities took a reasonable amount of time and I was on my way with my new car. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional and easy to deal with. No hard up-selling of things I had no interest in.

Overall a very good experience. Next step will be my first service in 90 days, even though the dealership is not close to my home, I will be taking the car back there for the first service, if the experience is good, I will most likely make the extra drive for the follow up service.

George Dunbar provided customer service that exceeded my expectations. He and Steve H. stepped up to the plate and made me an offer on my Jetta TDI Wagon that I could not refuse. They were able to beat the competition in price and attitude. They were extremely down to earth and did not blow smoke in order to get the deal done.

I am a Pacific VW customer FOREVER!!

I went to Pacific VW with my daughter to help her buy her first car (a new Jetta) and it was an easy deal. These guys came in with a good price, without any haggle or hassle. Excellent selection of cars with all of the option combinations imaginable. All of the people I dealt with were courteous, professional and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend this dealership (and George Dunbar in particular) to anyone looking for a VW.

My Review of Pacific Volkswagen:
I have not been in the market for a new car since the late 90's and was finally getting around to getting a comfortable, reliable set of wheels.

I have worked for car dealerships behind the scenes before, and my expectation of them, in general, is pretty low.

I was referred to Pacific VW through some business associates and worked out a deal on the phone with Steve B., the sales manager. He helped me work through some of my credit issues-- he was able to give me info that I couldn't get anywhere else and I got my credit straightened out with one phone call after that.

We worked out a Sign Then Drive lease deal that was within my range. The following Monday, I made a trip down to the dealership where I met Steve and then George (one of the salesguys) took care of the rest of the deal. The car I wanted was ready for test drive (2011 Jetta SEL), so we went out for a quick drive. I won't get into how I like the car-- after my 12-year-old piece of junk, this car is like a dream.

The dealings were straightforward-- the numbers we had agreed to on the phone were exactly the numbers on the form. About six signatures later, a brief visit with the finance guy (Richard), I was driving home in my new car. If there's any beef to have, I feel like the whole process could have gone a bit faster-- some of that delay may have been that I was working out insurance at the same time.

The key for me was that I had worked out a deal ahead of time-- whether I got a good deal or a great deal wasn't so important to me as, when I walked in there, I got the deal I had arranged and didn't have to deal with any of that dealership nonsense that's kept me out of a dealership for over a decade.

In terms of a new car buying experience v. what I had expected a new car buying experience to be, this was fantastic.

I will be sure to report back after I have my first service visit in 90 days.
