I bought the car 4 months ago, and I've had problems ever since I purchased the car, I keep getting the run around, spoke with numerous people and nothing is being done. waste of time and money! Now I have to pay a deductible for issues that the car had before I purchased it!! More

Jennifer Golden, was the my sales representative, when she was checking what bank was financing the truck i specifically told her that I wanted my bank USAA to finance the vehicle! Then I told her I didn she was checking what bank was financing the truck i specifically told her that I wanted my bank USAA to finance the vehicle! Then I told her I didn’t want Redstone Credit Union. I then started to apply online completing my application with my bank USAA and she stooped me and said don’t cause the person was already doing the application for USAA, which was a lie!!! I feel that I was coerced into accepting the application at Redstone by your sales representative, and not satisfied!!! Another she told me she was going fill up the vehicle with gas, lied again, the vehicle had only a quarter of gas!! I then called her back and she said she can only fill the vehicle with 5.00 of gas and said the vehicle had half a tank of gas!! I’m never going to buy another vehicle from Bill Penny!!!! I’m not a satisfied customer. Further more she said she was going to have the glove compartment which could not be opened, opened before I leave with the vehicle!! It was never fixed!!! Bad business and customer satisfaction by Bill Penny Toyota!! More

This will be our 5th car purchased from them and this one was the worst. At finance we were told we had to get an warranty to get our rate. I called the bank the next day to find out that was false and consi was the worst. At finance we were told we had to get an warranty to get our rate. I called the bank the next day to find out that was false and considered fraud. I also noticed the price of the vehicle was wrong on the contract! Made contact with one of the finance mangers to express my concerns and hope to have all resolved today. will not make another purchase here. More

RUN AWAY FROM BILL PENNY DEALERSHIP! Attempting to purchase a new car from this dealership, and after stating to a sales associate that I would not purchase the "Toyota Protection Packag Attempting to purchase a new car from this dealership, and after stating to a sales associate that I would not purchase the "Toyota Protection Package" (nothing itemized to show what your buying under this package) when trying to buy a new 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid, the sales associate assured my that "it is not a problem". Then the sales associate quickly dispersed and in came the general sales manager who sat across the table from me. The sales manager did not introduce himself, and only wanted to let me know that, "Were not dropping the Protection Package as this is how we make money here" and " you can go to Hyundai across the street, there selling there cars under MSRP price, we will not". He then stood up and walked away, I was left there at the table, and walked myself out the door. Not even a thanks for coming out and looking at our vehicles. One of my friends bought a Toyota Corolla. She told me that Bill Penney Will give you 10 years unlimited powertrain warranty and that comes with every new car and that exactly what they told m She told me that Bill Penney Will give you 10 years unlimited powertrain warranty and that comes with every new car and that exactly what they told me when I was talking to the finance manager so we bought three new cars, and when I took my Camry, Which has over 120 miles to be checked, I was told that the powertrain warranty has expired at 65000 miles. We bought two 2023 Camry’s and and the finance manager told us there is 10 years unlimited miles powertrain warranty and that comes with every brand new car when I took my car to service suspecting front told us there is 10 years unlimited miles powertrain warranty and that comes with every brand new car when I took my car to service suspecting front wheel bearings noise I was first told that it’s not covered When I mentioned the 10 years warranty, they acted like they never heard of it. When I first bought my truck I turned in my Tahoe and immediately notified my seller after leaving that I had forgotten my (rings, sunglasses and my garage door opener). I was told to come in the next day where I only received my garage door opener I asked what happened to my other stuff and that I had given them quick notice approximately 15 minutes after me leaving and my seller said they had a third party detailing team and they don’t control that area. Mind you this is 15 minutes after I left I notified them, left my review on google and was never contacted about the theft that happened. On top of it I went and did the 2 free oil changes and on my recent one that I did myself to replace the plastic housing unit for a metal housing unit, I noticed pretty fast that the mechanic used a impact drill or a air pressure drill to tighten the housing unit way beyond specs which is 30 foot pounds that you’re suppose to. Luckily I got it off, but would not recommend trading in to buy another vehicle and would not recommend their service department as tightening things beyond specs on a vehicle can ruin it or hurt someone fixing their vehicles. More

I purchased the 2016 Hyundai Sport on February 23, 2023. I noticed it had just been brought in on that date as a trade (no cleaning or service yet). I retuned the following day for pick up. Two days after I picked in up, I brought the vehicle back to Bill Penney because it was jerking during acceleration. I checked and the oil was completely dry, no oil in it. I returned the vehicle to Bill Penney and a manager, I believe his name was Gary Lane, that they would do an oil change for me. That was on February 28, 2023. On March 24*, 2023, the jerking during acceleration occurred again. I returned to Bill Penney and this time a manager named Chris Pace received me. He indicated that since it was within 30 days of purchasing, I should leave the vehicle so that the service department could check it out. The next day I received a call stating there was nothing wrong with the vehicle after they drove it for 20 miles and that I should pick it up. I did. On June 14th, 2023, (the day I made my 3rd car payment) the vehicle stopped completely. I had to have it towed to Bill Penney. My significant other and I proceeded to explain to Gary Lane that the whole experience with this vehicle from purchase to that point was unacceptable. Yes, we were highly frustrated because we are human and by this point, I was very scared that I had made a terrible mistake that I was paying a large amount of money every month for a vehicle that is possibly a complete lemon. I felt I had been deceived by this company one hundred percent. My significant other was speaking to Sidney Johnson, who appeared to be very dismissive as if I had wronged this company versus the other way around. My significant other stated to Mr. Johnson that he felt this service department was incompetent and completely uncaring as they had never fixed the problems with the vehicle though I had brought it back several times already. Mr. Johnson became enraged and started slamming things everywhere, yelling out that he was not "going to stand for being called incompetent!" Then Mr. Hunter Johnson tells me that "both parties were wrong" which I do not understand how I am wrong in any of this. My life and my children's lives were placed in danger as we rode on the highway in a car that I believe was sold to us without having ever been evaluated by Bill Penney to ensure safety, at least. There was a recall in 2019 on this vehicle, which was never addressed, and it did involve the engine, which now I am told there is a problem with the engine. I have not yet presented this case to any consumer agencies such as the FTC or the State Attorney General because I want to make sure that your company has every opportunity to independently do the right thing. I have not retained an attorney. I have spoken to an attorney just to obtain information. I have ascertained that every state, including Alabama, has a UDAP statute providing a private right of action to remedy deception, as well as unfair and unconscionable practices. An "as is" disclaimer in the contract does not prevent a UDAP claim based upon the dealers' oral representations, failure to disclose, or unfair conduct. Wanted to buy a 2023 Tundra. I was offered MSRP + 5000 dollar market adjustment. I will never again buy a vehicle from these crooks. I have purchased 4 new Toyota from them, bu I was offered MSRP + 5000 dollar market adjustment. I will never again buy a vehicle from these crooks. Jessica Neveau was my service advisor and as I have been there before she quickly summed up what they were going to do with my vehicle. In and out under 40 minutes.
