My Review of Proctor Subaru:
My experience at Proctor Subaru was wonderfully positive, and left me feeling thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, customer service, and thoughtfulness with which my transaction was handled. I bought a new 2010 Subaru Impreza, and it was my first car purchase. As a relatively naive 22 year old never having stepped on the lot of a dealer, I did some thorough research regarding what to expect with car salespeople and how to approach the negotiating process (Edmunds.com), and of course I expected the worst. However, from the very first encounter I had with Proctor (via email with Abel Correa), I was pleasantly met respectfulness, honesty, and an absolute lack of pushiness. A great price was given to me right up front, which completely eliminated any motivation (or need) to haggle.
I wanted a different color than was available on the lot, and this was taken care of promptly and with only minimal increase in price. I've heard at many places when you want a car not on the lot, the "good deal" is thrown out the window--and in fact, when I spoke with other dealers, this was the case. Not here! Within 72 hours they had the car I wanted on the lot and we were ready to go.
Financing was a breeze, thanks to Mark Poole's hard work...a quick analysis of the extended warranties led me to reject one that I didn't think would bring me benefit, but just like Abel, Mark was extremely up-front about the whole process and seemed to really want me to get the deal I needed and no more.
Delivery of the vehicle was perfect... I was introduced to the Service Manager, Jim Lutz, who again was kind, helpful, and professional. I am really looking forward to a long relationship with Proctor Subaru....and have my whole family talking about wanting to buy a new Subaru now that they've seen mine and heard about my experience!
Now...I just have to learn how to drive it (bought a manual). Abel, if you're reading this, I can start on a hill now!
