Joe Prokes at Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

The new Jeep Patriot (great car by the way) has been in for service on the air conditioner twice. Still not working as of this writing. Due for a third try ....

So far, not impressed with the competence of the service technicians. But this is the first time I've dealt with this dealer, so I'm hopeful my experience will improve.

August 1 2012: Third time was the charm, AC now working perfectly. (Turns out the problem was electronic/electrical and not mechanical as you might normally expect).

I chose Dick Scott for the new car purchase based on the recommendation of several friends and on my personal bad experiences with most other dealers I've dealt with over the years. I believe, based on my experiences with this dealer to date, I can pass the Dick Scott recommendation on to others with confidence.

I’ve dealt with dealerships across the Metro Detroit area. As many of us know time is becoming a rare commodity. Depending on where my travels take me basically determines what dealership I use for warranty work.

I was working with a different dealership on a problem when two more problems cropped up. Even though the original problem was solved, the other dealership tried to convince me that the new problems were not there.

The end of my warranty was two weeks away so I couldn’t sacrifice the time to argue with the dealership. During this process my travels took me to Plymouth. So I did a search on the Dodge web site and came up with Dick Scott. I told Joe Prokes about my two problems and asked if he could help. He told me to bring my vehicle in and have one of the Service Advisers take it for a test drive.

I arrived at the dealership and Harley gave my vehicle a test drive. We didn’t even get completely out of the Service Bay and he verified both problems. I was put into a rental covered by the warranty and they started work on my vehicle.

One problem was finished the next day while I had to wait on parts on the second problem. I was given the option to return the rental and come back when the parts arrive which was projected the next week. I decided to keep the rental even though I would have to pay for part of it. To my surprise, they received the new part ahead of schedule and the work was completed on one of their evening shifts. I was back in my vehicle before the weekend.

When I picked up my vehicle ALL the people in the Service area were extremely nice to me. Harley was busy on the phone so the other Service personnel made sure I knew where to go to settle my bill (didn’t have one it was warranty work). Someone brought my vehicle around. I’ve never had this kind of service before!

My vehicle ran great and no new problems. I’ve dealt with six (6) different dealerships in the local area including Dick Scott to which two are no longer Dodge dealerships. Out of all of them to date I would say my best experience has been with Dick Scott.

So if you want your vehicle work done in a timely manner, regular notification on the progress of the repair, friendly and helpful Service Advisers, and total satisfaction then I would have to highly recommend Dick Scott.

If their sales team contains only half of the customer service that I experienced in the Service Department, I know where I’m going to purchase my next vehicle.

We go out of our way to have our car serviced at Dick Scott because of their friendly and helpful staff and the good quality of their work. We have Chrysler dealerships much closer to our home, but prefer to deal with Dick Scott.

I came in because my personal mechanic told me that my passenger side break pad was metal on metal while the driver side was still in good condition and said I needed to have them replaced. Before I allowed him to replace them, I decided to take it to the dealership and complain about it because I had just bought the vehicle 2 months prior and wanted to know how it could pass inspection like that. Joe Prokes offered to completely inspect my breaks at no charge to find out what was going on and to find out where the source of the problem was. It turns out my mechanic was the source, he was trying to con me into doing a job that wasn't needed and despite my accusations, Darrel and the staff at your dealership were very kind to me and put my mind at ease that there was nothing wrong with my breaks. Needless to say, I've given my mechanic the boot! I was so greatful and appreciative for their thorough job, I've had breaks go out on me a couple times and at the worst times, while coming off expressway offramps! I'm already disabled, I don't care to make the situation worse. Darrel was so sweet, he even offered to wash my Jeep for me. Thank you so much again everyone!

I've rated Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Plymouth all FIVES/GREAT service due to their friendly and efficient customer service. Laurie, on the phone, was super friendly and answered all of my questions and followed up with me to keep me updated. They quoted me and I decided to go with most of the service (i.e. the required repair) and they weren't pushy about getting all of it done. The service was done in a couple of days and it looks great! Joe and another couple of employees made sure I was satisfied when I picked up my jeep and the bill/paperwork was very organized and all ready for me upon pick up and the invoice was presented in a nice folder. My jeep was detailed inside and I was provided a small sample of touch up paint, which was a very nice touch. I'd keep coming back with super service like I experienced this time!

I did not purchase my PT Cruiser from Dick Scott. I was unhappy with the service at the dealership I purchased the car from and the next dealer I tried for service also. So, after several years (and 75,000 miles) with no service, I had some real issues that needed to be addressed. Checking the dealer reviews I saw a lot of satisfied responses from Dick Scott cutomers and I scheduled my work at the Plymouth Road dealership. Add me to the list of satisfied customers; their service department is fantastic. They provided a loaner for me to use. They completed the work on time. I knew in advance what the price would be. Everything they worked on is as it should be, it feels like I have a new car and it even came back clean. I would not consider going anywhere else for service for this vehicle.

Took my 2010 van in for a rattle in sliding driver's side door and also for regular maintenance. Picked up van and found dirty carpet and door still had an intermittent rattle on trip home. Went right back. Door stopped rattleing on trip back. Allan Martich introduced me to Joe Prokes who personally drove the van to ensure door was not making noise. He had the carpet cleaned when we returned from test drive. Joe Prokes also requested that I go directly to him if I had any further door issues.
I believe any car dealer can and will have problems. This type of customer attention makes a superior dealer.

I'm updating my review due to the fact that I had outstanding service on my last visit to Dick Scott Dodge for an ongoing brake problem that I had multiple visits to the service department for. While it did take months before finally resolving the problem by replacing brake pads, rotors, and actually tearing apart the entire braking system to inspect it, clean it up including a little normal rust that was occuring, and putting it back together, I'm thrilled that this has finally been done and now my personal time won't be taken up so much by Dick Scott service time. I received top-notch service and now Dick Scott Dodge's service department is starting to get my trust back - thank you Joe!
