John Martin at Locklear Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Having received less than favorable results from trying to purchase a new vehicle in Tuscaloosa in the past, I tried Locklear Dodge thinking I would end up buying elsewhere. To my surprise, I was met quickly by salesman John Martin who was extremely helpful without being overbearing. After giving him my specifications for a new truck and what I needed for my trade-in, he found the right truck and worked to achieve the price I requested without trying to add unnecessary options to bump up the price. When I told him that I would get back to him the following week, he gave me his business card and asked if he could call me back with any additional info that came up. I tried another dealership in a different city and did not get the same service nor the same good price. Coming back to Locklear, the truck was ready, the trade-in agreed price was accepted and the deal completed. Though I had arranged financing elsewhere, Fed Baker was able to same me money with a better financing arrangement. I am very pleased with my Locklear experience.

I walked in planning on buying a Kia sportage, however when I talked to John Martin about my traveling back and forth to school he suggested the optima or sorrano and asked me of I would test drive them just to see. I drove the sorano and was pleased but not in love. I then drove the optima and before pulling out of the drive I was in love! He was right!! He was so friendly and made sure I understood everything to expect and took very good care of me! I will definitely recommend others to locklear!!! 5 stars!!

I visited Locklear on a Monday, just wanting to 'look' around, but after meeting the staff and receiving the level of customer service I received, I ended up buying an Town & Country from them that day. John Martin was very informative about the vehicle, all the specifications, the warranty; every question I had, he had the answer. That is very important when making such a large purchase...you want to know as much as possible before making a decision! The service I received was second to none, not only from the salesmen helping me, but every other employee I encountered was courteous. I left feeling like I had received a more than fair deal on my new Town & Country, which did not leave me feeling any regrets, and that was a good feeling! John was very nice and very personable, we talked about our families while waiting and really got to like him as a person, not just a salesperson. I was very pleased with the overall experience, which was a welcome surprise. The last time I purchased a vehicle I was frustrated, and very annoyed by many the dealerships I visited prior to Locklear Thank you to each and everyone I encounter. Being from "Up North", it was very nice to meet people with that "Southern Kindness".
