Women beware: You will be discriminated against at Beau Townsend Ford by the management. Ordered a Maverick. Eight months later it arrived. Arrived to pick it up. Worked with Josh. Got financing going Townsend Ford by the management. Ordered a Maverick. Eight months later it arrived. Arrived to pick it up. Worked with Josh. Got financing going. Went for a test drive. Loved it. Went to do a walk-around of it, and found a dent & scratches on rear fender. Alerted salesman. I was obviously upset. He was apologetic, and offered to repair it for me. and give me a loaner. I asked for some type of reasonable compensation - a lowered sale price or accessory. I was told no. I req to speak to the manager, and a man came in. Never introduced himself, Just sat down. He said they would do nothing for me other than fix it, and if I didn't want the truck, that was fine. His arrogant attitude was such that I knew he didn't want me to buy it. I attempted to state my case further, at which point Bret said "I am not a back and forth guy. Do you want the truck or not." This upset me further, and I explained that I didn't want a brand new truck that had to have body work and paint, with no compensation whatsoever for me, the customer. He then taunted me and said if I said anything further (like I was a child), he wouldn't even sell the truck to me. I told him I ORDERED it. He said it didn't matter, and again said that if I said anything further, that he would not sell me the truck. I then explained to him that I knew why he didn't want to sell it to me, because he could sell it outright to someone who didn't order it, for 10K over MSRP (which the salesman later confirmed, they would do). Bret was demeaning, and was definitely bullying me because I am a woman. I told him to quit being an xxx, and he said, "You are really tough, aren't you?" This coming from a from a sales manager! I could tell he did not like a woman sticking up for herself, but I won't be intimidated. He then ordered me to decide. I contemplated it, got up, and told him to go straight to xxxx, and walked out. Josh offered me a ride home (since I sold my car the day before, in anticipation of getting my new truck), I accepted. This type of behavior from someone in management is absolutely unacceptable. Not once did Bret apologize for not having someone inspect the vehicle before trying to sell it to me damaged. All I got from him was an insolent attitude. I would have had them repair it, and purchased it, had it not been for Bret's bullying behavior. I had to ask Josh what that mans name and title was, as we exited the building. He should be terminated. Please go elsewhere to buy a Ford. More

Thank you Dave We liked the cleanliness of the dealership as well That means a lot to us. We feel we made an excellent choice with the Ford Escape. Lots of useable space and easy to handle. We took it on vacation and it was comfortable. With our previous car we would have to stop every couple of hours to stretch our legs. We drove about 4 hours at a time in the Escape and did not have any problems. Lots of lower back support. This is the first new car we have purchased in our 37 year marriage and I really like the warranty and the Ford financing. As my luck would have it, I drove the car off the lot. When I arrived at my work about 15 minutes after driving off the lot, I noticed a nail in my tire. The service people and Dave Towner were wonderful getting the tire looked at immediately. The Beau Townsend website was extremely easy to navigate and very informative. Their online inventory was accurate and matched what was on the lot. I appreciated the online photos of the actual vehicle instead of generic stock photos. The typical high pressure tactics used by some dealerships was not the case at Beau Townsend Ford. Very professional and knowledgeable employees and staff! Josh Otstot & Ken Emrick were awesome to work with once we decided which truck we wanted. This was my 4th purchase from Beau Townsend Ford and honestly can't imagine shopping anywhere else. More
