My Review of Volkswagen Santa Monica :
It was a pleasure working with Vante Williams. I used a buying service through my insurance company, so there was no negotiations required. Everything was handled over the phone. When my wife and I arrived, the dealership was very busy, and Vante was working with another customer. Once he got to us, he gave us his full attention and the transaction was handled very smoothly. The only issue we had was the second key for the car was missing. We worked out an arrangement with Vante and his manager, Mike Burger, where I would purchase a replacement key at a closer dealership and once I provided my receipts for the key and the programming, I would receive a reimbursement check. I got the work done and submitted everything as requested on May 28, but never received the reimbursement check. After repeated emails and eventually phone calls, I finally received my check at the end of July. Given the time and effort it took to get what was promised really left a bad taste after what was otherwise a great experience. Lesson learned: don't leave until everything you are promised is delivered!
