My Review of Mungenast St. Louis Honda:
Mike Hollis is an excellent representative for the Mungenast dealership. Mike greeted me and then let me tell him what I wanted in a vehicle. I really appreciated his being interested in what I wanted without interruption and without him trying to tell me what I should be wanting. He then said he had a vehicle that met my needs. I was skeptical but we went and looked a the 2011 Honda Pilot.
Mike opened several doors and let me look it over. After I had seen what I wanted, Mike showed a few of the Pilot's features that were not obvious at first glance. We then took a test ride on I-55. During the ride, Mike pointed out some more of the Pilot's features. What I liked during all this was the lacked of sales pressure from Mike. By the time we got back to the dealership, I had to admit he was right, this particular Pilot was everything we wanted and more. After I said that, we started the sale.
I complicated the sale for Mike by first telling him my trade-in would be a motor home.
Without a hesitation, he said, no problem we can handle that. Then I told him I could not close until my wife got to see the Pilot. Mike arranged for a small down payment which would be refundable if my wife did not like the car. Next, I told him I needed to cash in some stock to pay for the Pilot. Mike then arranged for a delayed payment date to accommodate the time required to sell the stock. When my wife got back from out of town and viewed the Pilot, Mike told her about it- she loved it and nick named it the Black Knight. Lastly, the sale paper work was done without a hitch.
In summary, I think Mike is a great salesman because he listened to me and found what I needed. He then arranged the smooth sale under some complex conditions. Both during and after the sale, Mike has been very friendly and helpful to us. Thanks, Mike!
