My Review Of Dick's Country Chrysler Jeep Dodge:
I called the Costco Auto Program office to find a participating dealer of Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep autos. Based on my address they recommended Dick's Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Hillsboro. They gave me 3 contact names representing Costco and Randy May was one of them. I found the dealership to have a wide selection of all 3 makes of vehicles. I got a hold of Randy, he treated me as if I was a family member and because it made me feel comfortable and right at home. I was surprised and taken aback by this man's empathy and caring. He walked me though the different cars and explained the pluses and minuses taking into consideration my financial availability. I drove a couple of cars and Pick-up trucks and found that it was the Pick-up that I wanted. And there it was: on the showroom floor: a bright shiny red 2011 Ram 1500 SLT Big Horn Crew Cab. I feel in love with the truck on first sight! I said "Randy, this is the one I have to buy. Will you help me make this happen?" He immediately jumped into action to get an appraisal on my Sonata Limited 2011 with only 2,950 miles or so. And he promised me he would do everything within his power to help me get the truck I loved so much!
It was a tough go on the transaction. I'm retired on disability and have minimal income and no savings, just the Sonata and I was in negative equity for $8k +. So a deal to pay the truck was going to take some real effort on everyone's part. Randy told me not to worry, that they would make this deal happen somehow. I sat at his desk and waited anxiously while Randy would come over every now and then to reassure me that He felt this purchase would happen in the long run. I was asked to go to Richard’s office and go over some details that would help him to complete the deal. There was another gentleman whom was also working feverously to squeeze the price down to a viable number considering my low down payment and income.
I went back to Randy’s desk and Randy’s offered me coffee and a cookie. The cookie hit the spot and I had some cold water instead of coffee. We talked about our families and the joy of children with the love they that fill your heart. Randy is a pretty sensitive fellow for a car salesman.
A short time later I was called back into Richard’s office and he said that they had worked it out. The truck would be mine after signing the many documents involved with the transaction. They even have an electronic connection with Motor Vehicles so all the usual paperwork and the “plates” were available right there in the dealership!
Yippee, hip hip hurray and all that, I got the 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Crew Cab and I forgot to mention it’s got a Hemi V-8 engine! This truck is loaded to the gills! The interior safety precautions, seating, 9 speaker Alpine radio with a free year of Sirius-XM, back up Camera and assistance and so much storage, it’s unbelievable how great this truck is.
It’s been a week of not touching the ground. The Ram truck drives beautifully and is so comfortable that I want to stay in the truck with Daisy, my Bagel hy-bred doggie (she’s a registered Basset mother and Beagle father). I’ve been teaching her how to get into the truck, she wants jump right into the seat but it’s too high. She loves riding in a vehicle. And Randy asked me to bring her the next time I’ll be at the Dealership. Well, a great experience all around, I thank all the people there and especially Randy May.
