My Review of Suburban Subaru of Stuart:
My fiancée and I began our search for a Subaru Outback in North Carolina. Most of the dealerships did not have what we were specifically looking for in stock. Of the few which had an Subaru we would be happy with, the prices we were quoted were higher than we expected or misrepresented when we discovered many dealership fees.
Florida is home to my parents. We searched the area around them and found the car we wanted at a dealership willing to offer us a great deal. Nathan said he could work with us to find any accessories or options we needed from the factory or through local suppliers, but the car we found turned out to be a superb fit. Nate patiently worked out the details of our contract over the phone and internet.
I am in the military and can't easily take vacation time. My partner's career keeps her also from taking days off to drive down to Florida. Despite having a unique situation, Nate and his coworkers found a solution which allowed us to buy our new car with minimal hassle.
The sales manager also worked to secure better financing for us than what USAA and Navy Federal were offering. "IF they can find a lower interest rate," I thought, "it would be through some obscure bank with poor customer support and limited payment options." What I expected would happen and what actually happened were very different. The manager ensured my loan was from JPMorgan Chase. Paying my bill and servicing my account is extremely simple on the Chase website.
Imagine my surprise when we signed the final documents and no hidden fees or receipts for aftermarket equipment emerged. There are dealerships out there eager to charge exorbitant fees for pinstriping, window etching, tint, underbody protection, and other add-ons. Suburban Subaru did not look to rip us off with any of these afterthoughts. In fact, they sent an itemized list of all their fees-- close to the minimum for document filing and titling in Florida.
Everyone I encountered on the staff at Suburban Subaru was courteous. Steve Ellison, the other internet specialist, introduced me to the car I would be driving home to my fiancée. His knowledge of our automobile was impressive, and he quickly showed me many of the features and settings.
