Steven was fun to deal with and followed up throughout the entire transaction. Tom worked with us to get to an agreeable price. Keith answered some of our questions and Charles explained extended warranty options for us. Dealership is comfortable and staff is friendly.

My Review Of Stokes Brown Toyota of Hilton Head:

While my overall evaluation of "great" doesn't mean a perfect system, everyone I've dealt with at Stokes Brown Toyota Hilton Head has been perfect in their attitude and immediate attention to every issue I raised. This is my sixth Toyota Avalon XLS. That much faith in a brand should tell you a lot about a very analytical "perfectionist's" impression of not only this brand, but where I decided to lease my 2011 Toyota Avalon XLS. As a Quality Systems Consultant for the Big Three auto makers (principally Ford Motor Co.) and their 1st tier suppliers in achieving international Quality Systems (ISO 9000) plus added automotive quality management standards (QS 9000) in the late 1990's and early 2000's, we defined "Quality" simply as "Attitude," in addition to "doing things right the first time." I believe Stokes Brown has people with a Quality Attitude. Process Improvement, an indispensable key element of Quality Systems Management, is a lifetime undertaking and the Japanese auto makers have excelled in Kaizen, their version of process improvement, from its inception by them. As a realtively new dealership in a first class state of the art, modern facility in Bluffton, SC, Stokes Brown has an excellent foundation in leadership, training, customer relations, and marketing communications to achieve the highest level of quality in its sales, service, finance and administration, and parts. You can expect the best possible attention to your every concern at this dealership. Customer care is their middle name.

I have worked with this Sales Team for many years. So far I have purchased seven (7) Toyota vehicles from this group of gentlemen. They are very professional and always present the product in a positive and professional manner. They fully understand my needs and requirements, and present me with the best options to purchase.

This time, I was at Stoakes Brown in Hilton Head only for an oil change. They took the time and advised me that it was a good time to purchase and presented several purchase options that was truly in my best interest.

I would recommend this group of professionals to anyone. Stoakes-Brown has assembled a great organization, and they should make every effort to keep this team in tact. While several of the vehicles were from competetive dealers, many of this team were involved in those transactions.

Stoakes Browns Service department is equally professional. What a great team.

My Review Of Stokes Brown Toyota of Hilton Head:

Overall an excellent experience with this dealer. Understanding the dynamics of dealing with a different ownership structure for Toyota (Southeast Region) and the added costs within the region, we were inclined to purchase our Toyota Sienna on one of our frequent visits to St. Louis. In the end, we were happy to be able to keep the sale local. Other than a few normal hiccups in communication along the way, our sales rep, Dale Woolsey, was very understanding and accommodating. We challenged him and Tom Farabaugh to find a new 2011 Sienna with just about everything on it and sell it as if it were a Camry. In our own search for inventory, there were few that fit the specifications and availability (by Mid June) either within the region or nationwide. They found the car and had it ready for sale as promised. We had already been taking our 97 Lexus to the service department at Stokes Brown and have been very pleased with the service. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy or service a Toyota.

(For Bill B.): A couple of minor things to think about. During the period after closing the deal (ordering the car) but before the actual purchase (about a month), we received about a half dozen calls from the dealership asking if we were still interested in a 2010 Sienna (stemming back from discussion in August last year). Maybe a common database within the sales staff would have informed everyone about the customer history. The lead salesman would input status and whoever would make the call could check. As I say, not a big thing.

At the closing, the customer is presented with several warranty and maintenance options. I would think this is complex enough to discuss prior to writing the check and signing the papers. I recognize this as a revenue source but even for experienced purchasers, it requires some thought. For example, some people have insurance policies which cover some of the towing, rental and maintenance in the Basic Service package.
