The folks at Matthews Motors are good people...all of them. Each and every one of them. This is my second automobile purchase from them. I am a self employed individual for over twenty years now. That experience has evolved me into a professional 'BS' detector. I can tell you this with certainty, they do everything they can from the price of the automobile, to the lender, to the loan rate, to the warranty...they know that their job depends on doing you right. We were having credit issues and was in need of a vehicle real bad so we was given Matthew Motors contact info from our attorneys office. My husband called and spoke with Victoria Godwin who really works miracles she delivers exactly what she tells you she can deliver. Victoria is a very hard working and compassionate individual who goes the extra mile to get you not only in a up to date vehicle but one that works with you and your situation. After getting us pre-approved Victoria gave us the go ahead to come down to the dealership. When we arrived at the dealership everyone was really very nice we was teamed up with Robert Walker who verified our info while we waiting on Victoria. Robert worked with us thru the process and after they determined the amt we could finance Robert took us out show us the vehicles waited patiently while we decided and when we needed advise he was there very knowledgable and had an answer for every question. Robert is a very hard worker also and made us feel good to know that he was a top Sales Consultant and he had the plaques to back him up. After the car was picked we was introduce to the Finance Specialist Jeryl Murph who walked us thru all of the paperwork with ease he really knows his stuff and he's a perfectionist so that made us feel good knowing that Jeryl would make sure everything was perfect down to the printing of our paperwork. Excellent overall experience. I had visited other dealership and as a result had low expectations. At a time of decline in customer service Matthews Motors has increase value for customers. They did not attempt to push me in a vehicle that I did not want with high payments and miles. I was treated that way customers should be treated. I am a very loyal customers. I will attempt to purchase all of my vehicles in the future from this dealership. I made several phone calls before coming out to Clayton. Everything that was discussed was accurate. I have already recommended this dealership to two other people. Thank you Robert and Victoria.

My experience with Mattews Motors will be one that i will never forget.Everyone was so helpful and nice.Even the people i didn't deal with were very nice to me.A special thank you goes out to Victoria Godwin who did not leave me hanging.She kept me up to date as far as what happening..I was not pressured into anything.Everything was explained in detail.She took the time and made me feel comfortable.I was given thanks for serving my country.Everyone was so nice and professional.FRom a scale from 0 to 10. My husband and I were in a bad spot and owed more on both of our vehicles than they were worth. Victoria and the guys took all day with us, made sure we had what we wanted and could afford and were very patient. I would definitely use them again, even though they are 2 hours away from us!

We had credit issues that made purchasing a car difficult. Robert asked us exactly what we were looking to do and he assured us he could work something out for us and not to be discouraged. I drove about every car on the lot and ended up being a permanent fixture at their dealership for a few days, which was easy because they were so friendly! He never told me it wasn't ok to drive the 18th car I thought I could grow to like. He was very patient and not pushy because he knew I was making a big step. He wanted to make sure I was happy and that I wouldn't regret my decision or settle for something that I just didn't want. They worked at it and somehow, they got me into the one car I decided I couldn't live without! The staff there are incredible and at first I was hesitant to go into a "used car dealership", sometimes the stigma that comes with those words make you uneasy, but it was not the case at Matthews. They were polite and made sure I was always comfortable and even shuttled me around several times during waiting periods. They were straightforward with their approach and never promised me something they could not deliver. Victoria put together all my paperwork and was very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of financing difficult credit issues. Russ gave me figures that were completely understandable. I always felt it was my decision, we never went through the merry-go-round of numbers. He worked diligently with every financial institution to make sure I got the best deal possible in spite of my credit problems, each time showing me exactly where we stood. I finally made the decision to buy and couldn't be happier with the vehicle or the service I received. I highly recommend them if you are in the market to buy a car.
