What Others Say

**One Star: A Masterclass in Deception and Disappointment** If you're looking to dip your toes into the murky waters of car buying, you might want to avoid Kunes Auto of Sycamore unless you're up for a lesson in deceit. As a first-time car buyer, my experience was nothing short of a cautionary tale. It started promisingly with a salesperson who seemed knowledgeable and helpful, guiding me to a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid at a decent 3.9% APR. But once the paperwork phase came, the tone changed. The finance manager played a classic bait-and-switch, hiking the APR to a ridiculous 7.9% with some sleazy salesman charm. I walked away, only to be reeled back in by a call from the dealership manager, promising the original APR. The real kicker came the next day. After signing what I thought was a done deal, I was nonchalantly asked to waive the extended warranty and Serma protection—details omitted until the pen hit the paper. The saga continued with a carousel of fired staff and unresponsive managers, ending with a sales pitch for the very protections they'd sneakily removed. In summary, if you value transparency, integrity, and respect, steer clear of Kunes Auto of Sycamore. They've turned the car buying process into a game of smoke and mirrors where the customer's trust is the first casualty.

Beware First-Time Buyers **Rating: 1 Star** If you're considering Kunes Honda Auto in Sycamore for your first car purchase, think again. My experience as a first-time buyer was nothing short of a disaster. The initial engagement was promising; a knowledgeable salesperson provided detailed information and convinced me to sign for a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid at a reasonable 3.9% APR. However, the process quickly spiraled downwards. The finance manager attempted a classic bait-and-switch, doubling the APR from 3.9% to 7.9% after the initial paperwork was signed. Although I walked away, they later backtracked to the original APR, but by then, trust was already breached. Upon returning to finalize the deal, I discovered, post-signature, that they had removed the extended warranty and Serma protection without my knowledge—a detail conveniently omitted until after the fact. Communication is abysmal. Following my complaints, I was strung along with promises of follow-ups from various managers and directors, most of whom seemed to be either fired or had left the company by the time I tried to reach them again. Each interaction ended with no resolution, just further attempts to upsell me on the warranties they'd sneakily removed in the first place. This dealership operates with a clear disregard for integrity and customer satisfaction. Their practices are manipulative, and their communication is consistently unreliable. For anyone looking to buy a car here, proceed with extreme caution—or better yet, go elsewhere. Your money and your trust can assuredly be better respected at another establishment.

Very professional and courteous. They know how to treat their customers and got the repairs done on time without any questions.

Friendly staffs and easy to deal with . Also the service department is extremely good with friendly people.

I love the car and I feel like I got a decent deal on the price. With that said I told the salesman and the finance guy that I had my financing arranged and that I didn't need or want them to apply for anything. I told the finance guy three times. Then while sitting waiting on the paperwork to be drawn up the salesman starts asking about my work and income etc. All of the basic information that you need to apply for financing. I stopped him and asked why he needed this information because I wasn't applying for financing through them. He said that Mike the finance guy had told him to get all of my information. He was planning on running a fiance application for me, with the bank I had told him I already had the loan arranged with. When I complained about this to the business manager he gave me a story about how he was, "probably trying to get me a better deal with a different lender." I never gave permission for them to apply for anything. In fact I told them not to, then had to stop them from trying. I like the car, and as I said I think I got an okay deal. I will never let these people near my financial information however.

Excellent Service and they listened to and found the vehicle I wanted at a great price. Many thanks to Alexis for going over in detail the functions of the controls and paperwork and to Lou Lopez, Mike Medina and Josh Hastings for taking care of my requests
