Seller's Comments

Exclusively available at Porsche Fresno; 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with only 4505 miles on the odometer. GT Silver over Leather interior in Terracotta is not only a stunning combination but very sought after in the CGT World. Accompanied by Books, Luggage, and Porsche COA, Rest-of-World Example Federalized by Specialists JK Technologies, Serviced from New by Porsche Dealer in Colorado and now at Porsche Fresno. The first titled owner of this vehicle ordered it from Porsche Colorado as a European Delivery. Porsche delivered the vehicle to him under consideration that it would be titled and registered in Europe. This mistake by Porsche caused the vehicle to be handed over to the customer with a front bumper homologated for European market which does not include the front amber reflectors needed for the US market. Porsche corrected this mistake and replaced the bumper at the factory with the correct one before the vehicle came to the US. This background adds the overall vehicle's rarity and gives you something to discuss at the next Rennsport Reunion you attend. Offered for auction in 2018 at Pebble Beach, CA as part of the Gooding & Co. auction. It was offered with 4417 miles, estimated sale price was $550k-650k and when the hammer dropped on August 24th it sold for $726k plus auction fees. The buyer (resident of Fresno, CA) only managed to put 80 additional miles on the odometer. His collection has a wide variety of vehicles and is now in the market for something newer allowing us to offer it for sale. The Carrera GT is powered by a 5.7 L (5,733 cc) V10 engine producing 450 kW (612 PS; 603 bhp), whereas the original concept car featured a 5.5 litre version rated at 416 kW (558 hp), 330 km/h (205 mph) was announced as top speed. A road test in June 2004 by Car and Driver showed that the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, 0-100 mph (161 km/h) in 6.8 seconds and 0-130 mph (210 km/h) in 10.8 seconds. The Carrera GT was offered with a basic five-colour paint scheme which includes Guards Red, Fayence Yellow, Basalt Black, GT Silver metallic and Seal Grey. Custom colours were later available from the factory. A traditional six-speed manual transmission is the only available transmission. The Carrera GT has large side inlets and air dams that help cool the large V10 engine framed by the carbon fibre rear bonnet. Fitted with Porsche's latest Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite brake system, the 15-inch (380 mm) SGL Carbon disc brakes make an impressive appearance underneath the 19 inch front and 20 inch rear 5-spoke alloy wheels. Similar to other Porsche models, such as the 911, the GT includes an electronically operated rear wing which deploys at speeds above 70 mph (110 km/h). The interior is trimmed in soft leather. Bose audio system and a navigation system were standard. In typical Porsche fashion, the ignition is to the left of the steering wheel. This placement dates back to the early days of Le Mans racing when drivers were required to make a running start, hop into their cars, start them and begin the race. The placement of the ignition enabled the driver to start the car with the left hand and put it in gear with the right. Originally, the car has a beechwood gear knob, which pays homage to the wooden gear knob used in the Porsche 917 Le Mans race car. Listed price of this vehicle is $730,000. Offers and Trades are welcomed! VIN# WP0ZZZ98Z5L000078
