Here is what US News and world Report had to say about the 2018 Honda Accord. The Honda Accord is an excellent car. It has two peppy turbocharged engine choices, engaging handling, and a smooth ride. Premium materials adorn the interior, which stays quiet even at high speeds. Both rows of seats are spacious, and there are plenty of standard and available tech features. The Accord earns heaps of praise from critics, and it has plenty of space, great safety scores, and a ton of available tech features. For these reasons, we named it a finalist for our 2018 Best Midsize Car for Families award. If you’re shopping for a new midsize car , it’s hard to argue against buying an Accord. It's an excellent all-around vehicle with a starting price right in the middle of the class. The 2018 redesign of the Honda Accord includes a complete revamp of the interior and exterior designs. Under the hood, Honda drops the 278-horsepower V6 engine, optional in the 2017 Accord, in favor of a 252-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder. The base engine is now a 192-horsepower turbo-four, replacing the 2017 model’s 185-horsepower four-cylinder. Inside, trunk capacity increases from 15.8 to 16.7 cubic feet, and more driver assistance features – including driver drowsiness monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, a head-up display, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert – are available. MOTOR TREND said… In a 2018 comparison test against the new Toyota Camry, the 1.5-liter-equipped Accord handily won because of its sophisticated interior design, spacious interior, intuitive multimedia system, and superior powertrain. Although it needs slightly more throttle input than the Camry’s 2.5-liter I-4, the Accord’s turbocharged 1.5-liter accelerates in a more linear fashion and the CVT operates seamlessly without much droning. The Accord’s chassis is more responsive, giving it better cornering capabilities and minimal body roll.
