Shady dealership. Worst service. Rude management. I came to Ford Lincoln Eau Claire wanting to trade in my vehicle for a more practical one. Spent some time with the salesman who was very nice and I came to Ford Lincoln Eau Claire wanting to trade in my vehicle for a more practical one. Spent some time with the salesman who was very nice and helpful. I found a vehicle I wanted and got an estimate for trading in my current car that I was very happy with. They worked hard for me to get financing and soon I had my 2010 Chevy Equinox. 2 days after bringing my car home I noticed the rear passenger door lock was malfunctioning. I called the dealership to repair and they told me to bring it in. The next morning I got there and they told me they couldn't look at it as they had become busy. So they had me bring it back next week. I brought it back in and they looked at it but couldn't figure out the problem and so hey told me to come back AGAIN next week when they had a more experienced tech. Third visit back the following week they looked at it and told me they figured it out and would fix it but they were going to charge me for the service even though it was within the 30 day warranty period. I hassled them and they reluctantly fixed the car and didn't charge me. Of course this left me irritated but glad they fixed it. 2 months and one day after I bought the car the transmission went on it. Was told by and auto repair shop that my front left axle shaft was grinding on my transmission and eventually destroyed it. They told me this was happening since before I bought it and also told me it would cost about 4500 to fix. I called the dealership to see if they would fix it or at least accept some of the costs only to be told that since the vehicle was over 150,000 miles and I hadn't bought a warranty that I bought it as is and they would not accept any responsibility for the issue. The general manager even went as far to say it was offensive of me to suggest they sold me a defective vehicle. So now I'm stuck with an almost 5000 dollar bill for a vehicle I paid 8000 for and I feel like I got scammed and humiliated. Be warned of this dealership. They will treat you so great to get you in the door and help you purchase a vehicle that they know has issues and then do next to nothing after they have your money. I got scammed and taken advantage of and so will you. Avoid this dealership at all costs. More
