Surging problem with 2016 pilot - Joe
I contacted Danny Bryant in the service department. I drove the vehicle in and was analyzed to be the fuel injectors. The dealership replace them under warranty, but later I continued to have the same problem. Today the service department checked the transmission and performed service bulletin 17-014. This solved the problem. The service department did a great job. This is the only place to take a Honda for repairs.
Worst experience ever - Mom on a mission
Bernie Boliek was the worst sales rep ever . He made it clear that he was not interested in selling me a car . I stopped by to specifically look at two cars that I saw on the website . Instead of him showing me those cars he took me to another car lot and passed me off to another salesman that already had a customer. I stormed out of the dealership feeling really disrespected. Luckily , I found my daughter a car just in time for her 16 th birthday at EAW in Pelham .

My wife and I came here looking at the new Pilots and were immediately impressed with the staff and the dealership in general. It was very nice and they have complimentary fountain drinks, coffee, and popcorn. Josh P. was our sales consultant and he is very knowledgeable and professional. He had no problem answering our questions and we learned about all of the new features with Pilots. With the help of their sales manager Max J., we were able to negotiate an excellent deal. Buying my new car from Ray Schollian at Honda of Jasper has been the easiest and best car buying experience I have ever encountered in my over 40 years of buying cars. I was introduced to Honda of Jasper through my bank’s car buying assist program. Honda of Jasper, and other dealers, sent information on their inventory closely matching my criteria for make and model. Some also called trying to sell me other cars. After a few weeks of research, I narrowed my criteria to the exact color and accessories and sent the information to a number of dealers with my intent to buy a car as soon as possible. Ray Schollian responded (email) almost immediately that he had found aen exact match for my criteria in another state and he could obtain the car for a price that was considerable lower amount than I would have ever expected. I traded a few emails and two phone calls with him and almost before I knew it, Honda of Jasper delivered the new car from Jasper, AL to my home Huntsville, AL. I have never met Ray Schollian and talked to him via phone only twice before we came to a deal for the car. I would recommend you talk to him too if you are looking for a Honda.

We bought a new Honda Civic the day before Thanksgiving. Total time from first phone call to delivery was about 3 hours.
First......I have hated most of the dealings with car dealers I've had over the last 50 years. Lots of bait and switch and other nonsense including high pressure and rude people. None of that here.
We did a lot of research before we decided on a Honda. First contact was a call we made to see if they had a Civic that met our price point for an "out the door" price. Our salesman, Tyler Bennett, was very helpful and understanding. He called us back to confirm they could meet our requirements so we drove down to their lot. I was expecting the worst. He had it sitting out front waiting for us. After a quick test drive we bought it.
Preston Brown handled the final paperwork. Since we were writing a check the process went quickly and without pain. Both Tyler and Preston, and in fact ALL of the Damson employees we met, were wonderful. No pressure or other games. Just nice people helping us get the car we wanted.

Went into Serra HONDA on March 18th to discuss lease turn in and getting a newer lease or refinancing my current car. The manager clearly told me go ahead and we will get you in a 18 Accord sport and not worry about the overage miles on my current 2016 accord. I said ok. Went to the 18 Accord. 2 months later get a bill from HONDA financial saying i owe for the overage miles. Call the dealership back and the new manager didn’t do anything to help me. Gave me the corporate number and gave them a call and no helps. Never going back.

Asked if the car had been wrecked was told no. Found over spray inside door panel looked up the report it said different yes for the wreck. Find this out after I had bought the car and they still denied it! Then I get to really looking at the paper work ( should have looked closer before)and they had tacked on a extended warranty that I didn’t need for $1,534.00 in the finaniceing I demanded everything back the owner could have cared less then he threaten to whoop my xxx (old guy🤔) finance guy wouldn’t even look at me? But I ended up getting my trade in back and paper work but you can’t trust these crooks at all then Steve Hatcher the sales guy said he had never looked at the car report (now they sale cars for a living really) then about 5 sales guys are waiting in the parking lot around my truck calling me names which I don’t think I can say on here and threating me unreal!!! Because they lied and stoled money from me I guess I should be ok with that very very bad exsperince please go somewhere else!!!!!!
sloppy multipoint inspection of used 2003 Honda crv ex - rayn
Dec 18th 2018 brought a recently purchased, used CRV in for a multipoint inspection (invoice 531459) and diagnosis of why all 5 doors are not opening and locking properly. Picked up car in the afternoon, no one reviewed what was wrong with the vehicle with me. Overcharged for the diagnostic fee that was quoted. Had to ask a few rushed questions. Upon getting home, find that estimate is sloppy and hard to read. No clear breakdown for parts and then labor, no totals. Also gave me estimates for pep boys and aftermarket parts. I specifically asked for an estimate with oem Honda parts. If I would have wanted after market I would not have spent the time to drive to the dealership. Prices seem ridiculous. I was told 4 door actuators would need to be replaced. This is my quote, Keep in mind that the Honda boards are filled with chronic honda door lock and ignition problems. This is what you will be expected to pay for cheap poorly designed plastic parts that will soon wear out on your Honda. Left Front door actuator $800.95 dollars. Left Rear $336 dollars, Right Rear $336 dollars, Rear Hatch 457.90. $1,930 not including tax. So figure over $2000 dollars to keep your door locked. not for an engine or transmission, repair! Simple plastic parts that allow your doors to be locked to keep your family safe. Revolting! disgusting! Going out of the way to abuse customers needing service. I can not recommend buying a Honda or service by this dealer. Ray
Tell whats NEEDED VS Recommended - Current Issues matters as much as recommendations
Townsend Honda Service Department lacks communication skills when dealing with customers. On August 16, 2019 I dropped my car off to get an oil change, I got a call shortly after stating that the inspection that they do, everything checked out fine and Terry told me where my brake level number was 8/5 for the front and back brakes. Then he proceeded to tell me that since my car was at 60,000 miles that they recommend a brake flush and transmission flush. I told him I would bring it back to get it done. I caught a ride on my lunchbreak to pick up my car and at the checkout window he reminded me again that they noted on my paper regarding the flushes and I said ok and paid, thinking that he informed me of everything that’s important and needed attention. “Fastfoward” to August 20, 2019, as I was putting my work bag in the car, I glance over the slip before putting it in my glove box and I noticed in the comment section with a star beside it that my windshield sprayer was inoperable and splash shield was damaged on arrival. So, I’m like well I don’t know what the splash shield is so how do I know if it really was damaged when I dropped my car off. Also, I was disappointed that they didn’t feel the need to tell me that my windshield sprayer did NOT work so I could have got it repaired why they had my car. The communication Sucks bc it makes no sense to me for Honda to call and tell me about a recommendation and NOT say one word about the two things that are current issues, I mean seriously who does that….POOR customer care/service. My first Honda was from Moore Stewart Honda in Selma and I can tell you the service is like night and day regarding communication. This is like the second incident which never posted the first which I hate I didn’t. Just Saying. I spoke with Jack Fleming and still waiting on a response/resolution which at this point chances are slim. People choose them at your own RISK and if you don’t care about how you are treated as a customer when we are the reason, they even have a job. They forget if we didn’t purchase from them and choose to service there, where would they be working.

I TRIED to purchase a new 2016 Honda Civic EXr from them. I found that they and another out of state dealership had the exact car that I was looking to purchase for my daughter. I contacted both of them the same night (3 nights ago) and out of state dealership sent me a quote that night and I even received a phone call that wasn't pushy at all about the potential purchase. After talking with the other dealer I received a quote (both written & verbal) that was fantastic in my opinion. 2 days later I finally got a generic email quote back from JD Honda and it was $2000 more than the other. I emailed them that I had a much better quote from another dealer and Zac Biddle (salesman at JD Honda) basically called me a liar, that the other dealership had fees for "this & that" that they hadn't discussed with me and that I didn't have a written quote!!!! I forwarded the email quote to him and asked if he could match it and instead of just saying that they couldn't he continued to badmouth/belittle the other dealership. That's HORRIBLE business and I'd tell anyone to look elsewhere!

Just car shopping Honda Fit and Civic. Stopped at Grissom and talked with salesperson Lisa Fornes. She spent a lot of time with us, checked every question we asked, we took both cars on test rides over all kinds of roads from city to highway, potholes, backroads, etc. We got a great sample of how both vehicles handled (they are very different) Very attentive and friendly, Lisa really represented this dealership (and Honda) well!
We haven't purchased yet, but hope if we choose Honda that we can work the deal with Lisa at Grisson.

I purchased a 2017 Honda Pilot last week from King Honda in Auburn. I was never pressured to purchase, I've purchased quite a few cars over the years, and i Must say that King Honda has my business and I will not hesitate to send family and friends their way. The Sales Manager, Randall, gave me a fair price for my trade, and answered every question that I had without acting like i was wasting his time, like most Managers do in the car business. The owner, Dave King, actually came out to introduce himself while I was there.
