My husband and I were within 10 minutes of close when we got to the lot and could not find the car I selected. He insisted we not go in but wait for a salesman to come to us. Tristan came out, introduced himself, and asked us some basic questions. When we told him why we came, he informed us the car was in the detail shop and would not be ready until Monday. We scheduled for Monday evening. Monday came around and he reached out to confirm with me via text and also took my husband’s call to confirm. He was ready for us when we got there and we only had to wait a couple of minutes. Tristan told us the car was freshly clean after a spill from the previous test drive and made sure we were comfortable with the liners he provided on the seats to protect our clothing from the dampness of the cleaning product.\n\nI test drove the vehicle around the block. I would have liked to have gotten some time on the highway to see some of the features of the car in hindsight, but I came for what I wanted. I found a mark on the inside of the visor and Tristan said he would let the retailer know. When we went to the table, I felt so comfortable with Tristan’s approach. He was honest, genuine, and transparent with my husband and me. He was not pushy and knew the answers to my millions of questions about the price. He explained the benefits of the protection plan, GAP insurance, and the warranty. After some back and forth (and some sticker shock), I felt very overwhelmed and walked away before finishing the sale. Tristan did not push but, rather, accepted when I told him I needed to come back the next day after clearing my head. He was not aggressive at all and completely understood. I followed through on my word and went back to buy it the next day after giving it some more thought. We got there around 6:45pm and waited about an hour to sign and complete the paperwork. Tristan sat with us, got to know us, and was professional and personable. He talked us through what to expect next, shared experiences from his time working here, and re-explained a bunch of things again. And he told the car detailing about the mark on the visor. It was gone.\n\nI haven’t had many dealership experiences. They have often intimidated me so I sought private sellers. I really cannot recommend Tristan enough. He did everything he could to meet my needs, answer my questions, and explain things over and over again.
