I\u0026#39;ve been helping family and friends buy cars for 30 years, and this is the nicest, most helpful, lowest-pressure experience ever!  Our sales rep, Theresa Yont, was more informed about the car\u0026#39;s specs and features than any sales rep I\u0026#39;ve worked with before (dozens), and she was not pushy, patronizing, or condescending at all.  She was very easy-going, got us everything we needed, and was very accommodating for my mom (who was very nervous about getting a new-fangled high-tech modern vehicle).  She even helped us unfreeze my mom\u0026#39;s credit reporting.  The price they gave us was actually LOWER than what was advertised without the need to haggle, and there were NO dealer add-ons!  That is mind-blowing in new-car sales.  Our paperwork guy, Mauricio Sanchez was also very nice and offered, but didn\u0026#39;t push extended warranties or service contracts and pointed out that LHM doesn\u0026#39;t pay on commission which explains why they are so friendly and helpful rather than sleazy, aggressive, or sneaky like some dealership personnel.  I would definitely recommend LHM over any other dealership (Anywhere! I have previously purchased vehicles from another large family owned dealership in the Valley, and that was usually my go-to but the vehicle in question wasn’t available at their family of dealerships. I even gave another dealership my business prior recently (two times even) only to be railroaded by the salesman’s manager into a vehicle that wasn’t what we wanted or specified that we wanted, used, lower than 40k miles, moonroof, heated seats, etc. They chose a brand new vehicle, and a CRAZY down payment even and we said no thank you and left. But because I had such a good rapport with the salesman who initiated contact the first go around via text, I was willing to give him another shot. So we went back out to the first dealership again, and had some vehicles in mind we wanted to test drive. Instead, while we were waiting for keys to test drive, we were doing a quick once over in the used lot and found a vehicle that we hadn’t even thought of. Ticked all the boxes and THEN SOME! It did REAK of tobacco smoke and they did their best to remove it but in a suede fabric like this vehicle had, it wasn’t going to be smoke free. Honestly, we didn’t care as my late father was a chain smoker so it didn’t bother us all that much. We test drove and were JUST AMAZED. Because of my limited mobility, the features on this vehicle gave me so much more range of motion by the sensors and cameras it had and extra options for convenience, safety and comfort. We went to go play “let’s make a deal.” Much better the second go around with finance but this other dealer (who we had no prior experience with) but there were endless markups from this tracker the dealership has for theft deterrent, to tint, to maintenance packages and everything else you can think of. I asked if they could be removed, they said no, even the gentleman from finance said, it’s all part of the dealer markup. Left a bad taste in our mouths. Mind you, this is our second trip to the same dealership, 30 mins one way from our home, just to be disappointed yet again. So close but no cigar. They wanted an exorbitant amount down and our payments were still ridiculous. The only plus side was they were giving us a decent trade in value according to NADA. We were just miles apart when it came to terms, interest rates, payment amounts etc. Once again, the managers controlling the salesman, weren’t listening. Our credit isn’t awful in any way, just had a unique income situation is all. I had the credit, but zero income due to being unable to work from my numerous medical conditions. But my husband, had the income. Just no dice yet again. BUT we found the vehicle we just HAD to have. I started using various searches on cars.com, carvana, auto trader etc, and found the same vehicles outside of the state but preferred something local so we could test drive since it was a HUGE investment for our family. However, while using my financial institution’s vehicle navigator, I located this same vehicle at Larry H Miller Hyundai Peoria. I initiated contact through the website and received a text from polar opposite than the other dealership. Just night and day. Because of my mobility issues, I wasn’t able to sit in a dealership for hours after the test drive with finance and such, so I test drove the vehicle without my husband since he was working, put a hefty deposit down in cash to hold the vehicle, and left them to work the numbers overnight. If you’ve made it this far, GREAT! Came back the next day and finalized the numbers, made a significant down to pay off our previous vehicle to not roll the negative equity into the new loan and to look more favorable to the lender, got a bite for financing, and signed our loan docs, with GAP and a warranty extension with ZERO back and forth over these possible add-ons they were ONLY if we wanted them, but we asked for them specifically.
