She explained to Nathan that we weren’t interested in persistent sales calls due to our rather scattered and already overwhelmed state. Not only did he respect it, but he asked permission to suggest one option that fit our criteria. We decided to drive up on Labor Day to check it out. He sat with us for four hours while our kids played, and entertained a few other employees. He was kind, calm, supportive, and he never once made either of us feel like we had any obligation to him or Heritage Ford for being there. We left with a 2025 Escape PHEV. Beyond the sales rep, the business rep was amazing. She worked with us to get us what we needed to protect ourselves from immense expenses, while respecting our budget and our abilities to make this work. He had the vehicle I was interested in ready for the test drive and was extremely understanding to my lack of knowledge on newer vehicles as someone who had owned their current vehicle for nearly 10 years. I was also trading in a vehicle which I thought would complicate the process, but they were able to “appraise” the vehicle and give me a fair trade-in price within a half hour. The dreaded financing process came next- with their great rebates, flexible lease terms and my fair trade-in value, I didn’t see any need to negotiate. They drew up the paper work and then I was able to sit with one of the finance managers, Theresa, to sign the paperwork they had drafted. Theresa went over the paperwork in terms the average person can understand and she was very knowledgeable about all of the extra options available for the lease without at all trying to push those products. From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out, I was there for a total of 3 hours, which to me, seemed like record time and something I valued. Both Nathan and Theresa were straight to the point and genuinely cared about the customer experience.
