The Allen Family has been serving the automotive market on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1971! Allen Automotive started with Mr. Bert Allen who first opened GMC and Pontiac dealerships in Gulfport, MS in 1971. He then acquired Mercedes Benz and Isuzu throughout the 70s. He and his son David Allen opened Bert Allen Toyota in 1987 with David Allen as General Manager. By 2001, David Allen had fully purchased the Toyota franchise and renamed it Allen Toyota. David Allen then acquired the Hyundai franchise in 2003. In 2007, the Allen family saw a shift of generations. Mr. Bert Allen retired from the business completely and David Allen’s son Scott Allen joined the management team at Allen Automotive. In 2017, Scott Allen purchased Allen Hyundai from the Estate of David Allen after bidding against multiple other regional dealers.
This is a family business. Scott and Andria Allen run the store together with Scott as the GM and Andria as the Controller. Make sure you have a witness with you when you visit this dealership. I have just been to Small Claims Court with these guys and I can tell you the GM is not above misrepresenting facts to a Judge. When you go to the Finance Manager's Office ask to tape the process or have a witness. You are not required to pay for a trade-in inspection or 'document fee' to buy a car. Do your home work and determine how much you will pay. You will be presented with the 'doc fee' and possibly other charges you do not have to pay. Do not buy an 'extended warranty' on a new car. It usually works with the factory warranty and has a hefty deductible. These guys may work you with multiple people so beware. Do not be afraid to get up and walk out the Finance Office. Do not buy anything other than a car from these guys! Always shop other Dealers before you buy from this Dealership. Never accept their first APR for financing. As Long as they have Brian Thompson for a GM, they will have dissatisfied customers. More

Our tuck has been in the shop for over 2 weeks for a extended warranty problem. They are not updating us and the don't do loner vehicles. It is very frustrating to be dealing with them. I came in at close to 4 pm on the Friday before labor day. I needed the lock lug for my tires. Even though I was buying used tires from another vendor, JT in the service department asked a tech to im day. I needed the lock lug for my tires. Even though I was buying used tires from another vendor, JT in the service department asked a tech to immediately replace all four sets of lugs so that I could get back to the other vendor before they closed for the day. This was a blessing as the tires were too dangerous to travel back home - 150 miles. The decorum of JT and his leadership within the service department at Allen Hyundai saved the day for me. Hats off to these guys!!! More

Service department is incompetent! Doesn’t pay to have a good warranty, if you can’t get good service. You should be able to leave 0 stars, because that is the amount of service I’ve received! under carriage of hyundai I own a Hyundai Elantra and we went to Florida for a visit early this year and when we were driving back I herd the worse noise something flapping und I own a Hyundai Elantra and we went to Florida for a visit early this year and when we were driving back I herd the worse noise something flapping under the car bad so we pulled over to a Goodyear store in Alabama and there were two young guys there and they looked at the car and said you need 2 tires that cost $170,00. Left there and started home when the same noise started up again,drove 50 miles a hour home here to Gulfport. I finally had a friend look under the car and said the plastic flap was broken bad and need replaced. I called to different companies and they were very expensive and shipping was worse. I decided to call Allan Hyundai and they were the cheapest around including installation.I now and will always take my vehicle to Allen Hyundai excellent service More
