"No Surprise... Avondale wins again!!"

- NO Surprise!

Went to "another dealer" (Hnt: see title of review) and was offered one dollar (literally $1.00) trade in value on my '07 Prius w/ 227k miles because it needed a new brake actuator. ($60 diagnosis fee) "Other dealer" quoted me $3k for the repair (pats / labor) but I declined and found out (via a simple google search) that it was covered under a Toyota Warranty Enhancement Program. (ZG1 to be specific). Took it to Avondale Toyota Service... "Other" dealer's service Mgr. left me a voice mail telling me that wasn't true while Avondale service was fixing my car under warranty. No charge. While it was there I had an oil change and $500 plus dollars of service that I needed for a vehicle with over 200k miles. Picked it up same day. They even gave me a loaner vehicle and washed my Prius. Worth going the extra miles for people who are willing to do the same for me. Thank you Phil, Tracie, Greg & Donald!

"UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!"

- jason jenkins

Made an appointment for tires to be put on my tacoma. They had a special going on buy 3 get the fourth one for a $1.Service advisor was Jacob. He told me it would take 15 minutes to look in the computer to see if my tires qualified for the special since they weren't stock tires.I sat down in the waiting room at 8:10am.I waited for over an hour.No communication at all.He could of just came by and said hey i'm really busy it's gonna be a bit longer.Even thirty minutes wouldve been fine.I finally got up and went to the desk and told him i want my keys then left.I went to discount tire and they took care of me.I won't be servicing both my cars there anymore.

"I wonder what other service I'm paying for but not receiving"

- Grown man crying

After my first visit, I had to call back to get instructions on how to reset my change oil reminder. After that expearance I decided to go elsewhere. The next time I decided to give you guys another chance, unfortunately with the very same results, however this time I just looked it up myself. With the time and travel to 16st, and out of connivance, I decided to give you guys one more chance, big mistake! It only took me 10min to get home to see that my tires hadn't been rotated! I give up, I took my trk to discount tire. The next time I'll just head over to 16st,

salesman and service person unreliable when called to setup service call for repair on my 2003 buick lesabre. fuel sending unit went out and radiator full of oily gunk all before the 15 day warranty, and now its too late because the salesman and the service person didn't call back to setup appointment. this is the second vehicle I bought from the and looks like the last. thanks Avondale Toyota for poor after sale service. bought on 9\03\2016 after reading my post, dealer contacted me to have the work done. thanks cejay. future advice for dealer, better communication between sales and service to customer. my complaint could have been avoided.

"The meaning of "the extra mile ""

- Diazcorolla2015

This review is for Carlos in the service department. I went last Saturday just to ask a question. Could I go to Flagstaff the next day with the "maintenance required " light on? It was almost 3:00 o'clock and they were about to close and Carlos noticed my mileage of almost 10,000 miles and told me to don't worry, they were going to service my car and it was going to be ready in about an hour and a half. I was very impressed and also because it was ready in just one hour!! Carlos was very friendly and seriously concerned about my situation. He probably thinks he doesn't make a difference in people's lives doing what he does but he certainly made a difference in mine that weekend. Thank you again Carlos!!

"Absolute worst SERVICE"

- Bpusmc

If I were able to post less than a star I would. Absolute worst service I have ever encountered. Do not recommend this "service" to anyone. The power steering went out on my 2014 tundra with only 16k miles. I took it in and later received a phone call from mike roller informing me that warranty would not cover it and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I could not believe what he told me. That is the sole reason I purchased a new truck. I was not happy to say the least, so I filed a complaint with Toyota. They told me that they would send a Toyota representative to inspect the truck and see what the issue was. Before they could do that I later received a call from MIKE ROLLER informing me that my vehicle was complete and ready. I head to the dealership and my truck is sitting out front with nothing done to it. I then received a call from PHIL GIBBS informing me that I was the cause of the power steering going out and that I either had to pay out of pocket or it would not be fixed. I could not believe it. This service is an absolute joke. I have no idea how they are in business. I love Toyota but this representation of Toyota is pitiful. I had my truck towed to a real service dealership in Tempe and they are in the process of fixing it with no problem or hassle. I RECOMMEND ANYWHERE but here.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent experience at Avondale Toyota. We take great pride in our customers experience, but at times we miss that expectation and have to reassess our procedures and processes. Your comments are taken very seriously and we have been in communication with the appropriate individuals at Toyota Motors Sales regarding your situation. In regards to your concerns, warranty claims must be authorized by the factory in order for us to complete the designated work, and due to circumstances that were communicated to you, it was declined. We do, however, recommend setting up a follow-up appointment with the Regional Field Technician to resolve your concerns. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange that meeting.

"Kimie Stewart "

- carsappleface

Kimie Stewart is a true professional. I came into the dealership to Enquire about my 2005 Tundra, I had a quote from Auto-trader, and he advised, If they could get me a better price for my truck, would I purchase a vehicle from him. I said yes. Kimie is very knowledgeable, about the Toyota product, very easy to work with, not forceful or desperate to sell a vehicle. He is an asset to the dealership, and I look forward in the future, to purchase another vehicle from him.

"I was treated horribly "

- michellelinski

Sure the sales people are great but lets talk maintenance; this is somewhat lengthy but ask you to please read.... My husband and I bought a brand new 2011 Toyota 4runner &a 2010 Toyota Tundra off of the Avondale Toyota dealership. The sales people were awesome. Then at 37,000 miles white smoke began to pour out of my exhaust so we took it in. There were no dash lights or anything on. So we give the keys to Toyota & we get a phone call back a couple of days later saying that the engine is full of sludge from the oil and that they're going to desludge it for $672.00. So my husband and I give the go ahead since we just moved back here from Utah (we are in the military and we were previously stationed at Luke) so we didn't have access to our receipts for our oil changes since TMO has everything, but regardless we need the car. We then get a phone call one week after we took it in.... it was an update on the "desludge" and we were told that the desludge was COMPLETED and that they wanted to run the car for about 15 miles to make sure it took. We then get a phone call back saying that the desludge DIDN"T work and that the engine was so destroyed we either had to replace the entire engine or the block assembly(quoted at $10,000) but they said they would drop the desludge fee to help us out (thanks guys, really). They said that it was not covered under warranty because they "could tell" we had never changed the oil since we had purchased the vehicle. So I lost my mind because I wasn't going to pay $10K for a new engine on a car that only had 37K miles. I called up an auto shop called Surprise Auto Repair (I will leave their information below) for a second opinion. I went to go pick up my car from Toyota and the Service Manager, CJ, wanted to talk to me.... sure so I let him talk. After about 10 minutes of him dancing around the topic he eventually told me that they never performed a desludge and that all they did was change the oil and from that they could tell I needed a new motor, and then he repeats, "so we'll drop the desludge fee"... gee thanks... So at this point I was sure I was going to have a heart attack at the service center and die from anger. So apparently when Jason, the mechanic, called me and said he had COMPLETED the desludge and was running it for 15 miles to make sure it took was lying to me, or was misinformed... either way right?... and apparently my 4Runner just sat at the dealership for a week to get an oil change... When I asked him about the engine replacement cost being a ridiculous 10K he explained to me that engines are very complicated and it takes a lot of time.... clearly he thought I was a "stereotypical female" (I hate to use that term) and knew nothing about those fancy things called engines. I explained to him that I KNEW you could by a used engine for the same mileage FROM Toyota for $2,500-3,000 and he agreed that's how much they were going to pay and explained that the other $7K I would pay would be in fees, labor and shop supplies because you know mechanics need towels leafed in gold to wipe their hands... So I said absolutely not and proceeded to take my 4Runner to Surprise Auto Repair. AN HOUR LATER they called me to let me know that they were going to run some sea foam through it a couple of times while changing my oil every single time & it'll be fine. Oh the ticket price you ask? $250.00.... I have never, in my entire life, been so disrespected and talked down to in such a manner that when I ask for details all I am told is that it's complicated, takes time and that there are "lots of parts". My husband and I have been loyal customers and have never missed a payment in 5 years; we did not expect this treatment. The Surprise Repair shop said I was the third person to be recommended a motor replacement when it wasn't needed from them. They even gave me the second look for free. .These people are honest and they care If you have any questions for me my email is michelle.linski@gmail.com please don't hesitate to ask Surprise Auto Repair 13260 W Foxfire Dr Surprise, AZ (623) 544-2886

"Fantastic, Friendly, and Memorable Visit"

- JavisteR

I'll start of by saying that my experiences with Avondale Toyota's staff are always pleasant and memorable! I'm a chatter box and spark conversations with everyone there. Today I went in to have my old car looked at for basic service and I never imaged I would be driving away with a new car and it just happened to be the day before my birthday to top it off! While waiting for my car to come out, I met Maribel "La Chilena" and decided to kill some time with friendly conversation and test drive for the new 2015 Toyota Camry. Its an awesome car! I'm a sporty guy and I mentioned to her I had a 2012 Scion tC and after a brief conversation about what I liked in a car and how I wanted a car to express my style, I ended up deciding to trade in my older gently used 2012 Scion tC for a new 2015 Scion tC as a gift to myself for my Birthday! Thanks for being so awesome and so patient with my hundreds of questions! It's everything I was looking for! You're awesome! If you're looking into getting a new ride, ask for Maribel! You won't regret it!

"A glimpse of Toyota's mission statement started today"

- kyellowjohn

I cringed as I contemplated the embarrassment of asking "where do I begin to qualify for a vehicle?" Dave Covey genuinely showed compassion and provided us with the tools needed to get our ducks in a row. Dave truly had exceptional customer service qualities that I have read in text books in my undergrad years in college, all the qualities needed that contribute to Toyota's overall success.
