Chris gave us a great overview of the various Encore models, color options and lease terms available. After identifying the car we wanted to lease, Chris went over all of the functional aspects of the car in detail and was very patient with questions or in having to explain things a second time. He paired our phones to the system and even helped us set up our favorite stations on the radio. When our license plates arrived, Chris offered to mount them for us, which I greatly appreciated. Unexpected Amazing Experience I wasn't expecting to buy a car, I had a car that was running fine, until one day it stopped. I had it towed to a auto shop and they said it may be so I wasn't expecting to buy a car, I had a car that was running fine, until one day it stopped. I had it towed to a auto shop and they said it may be something wrong with the timing chain and they dont do that kind of work. They suggested I call the brand dealership to have it serviced there. I had a warranty on the car that was going to expire in four days, so I'm panicking at this point, because im now on a time crunch and needed a diagnostic test and a claim submitted asap, so that the warranty wouldn't laspe. I called the service department at Axelrod Buick GMC. A nice receptionist explained I could have it towed there but they didn't have any openings to look at my car until Tuesday which was the day after the warranty expiration. After explaining my dilema to the receptionist she offered to transfer me to the service department manager. After explaining what was going on to him he said it would be ok to have it towed there that day and would look at the my car asap and intiate a claim if necessary. I was so grateful. They looked at my car and called the warranty company, about time I called for an update they already knew what needed to be done and that a claim needed to be submitted. This was great news I thought, until he explained the warranty company wanted to have the engine broken down to find out exactly what went wrong with it, ok that was fine until he further explained that it costed $800 and it possibly wouldn't be covered under the warranty if they choose not to fix my car, depending on what caused the engine failure. I was devasted because I wasn't interested in paying $800 and still be out of a car, if the warranty company choose not to fix it. What was I going to do?, well I decided not to have the engine tore down, and have the car towed back to my home. A few days later I received a call from a young lady from Axelrod Buick GMC, she explained she knew what had happened to my car and wanted to know if I'd be interested in setting up an appointment to come in and take a look at some cars and possibly trading in my car. I came with my family that thursday asking for who my appointment was with. Dale Wassenar was very welcoming and assisted me, he explained that the person my appointment was with had left but that he would be more than happy to assist me. I explained my situation to Dale, I let him know my concerns with my credit being ran thru alot of banks and possibly hurting my credit in the process due to many inquiries. I was very concerned because in my previous car buying experience, it really took a toll on my credit. I had been building my credit for a couple years now to get it back to good standing. Dale assured me that he understood completely and that he wouldn't do anything without my consent, that he would explain everything and assured me he would do everything possible to make this a much better experience for me. Dale did everything he said he would, he took excellent care of me, I went in nervous and with no expectations, I came out with a brand new car im so SHOCKED and EXTREMELY HAPPY! I wasn't expecting to get into a car that I would normally only be able to dream of...all my hard work on building my credit back has truly paid off and I owe many thanks and appreciation to Dale, he really cared and truly took great care of me... and so did the entire Axelrod Buick GMC family thank you all for your professionalism and kindness. They accepted without any hassle. The management team introduced themselves in a friendly manner. The new car was ready when I came to pick it up, and the young lady spent as much time as I wanted in showing me how to set and adjust all the computerized functions that today's vehicles include.
