Using Benson’s online scheduling on their website, I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I’m self-employed, so I blocked out an hour of my day to be able to take care of this. I received a confirmation email with my selected appointment time and the notation that I would be waiting while the service was provided. I arrived at the dealership ten minutes before my designated appointment and spoke to Anthony in the service department. He informed me that they didn’t have me on the schedule for 8 am, that the online scheduling system is only used if you’re dropping off a vehicle (which if it is accurate, is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the online scheduling process), and that he would try to fit me in but they already had a full schedule for the 8 am time slot. He was very apologetic, but because of my personal schedule I couldn’t just wait around (which is why I scheduled the appointment...).
I purchased my car from Benson two years ago and have always brought it to them for service. I’ve also used their online scheduling to set appointments for service before with no issues (and no BS about how it’s only for dropping off vehicles). I am very disappointed with this experience. I’m not sure what has changed, but I will most likely be looking for another provider in the area to take care of my vehicle.
