I went to a local dealership in NJ to try out the Subaru Outback, loved it but didn't like the pricing. My wife called the Bill Kolb Dealership because they had placed an add in our local dealership, and our son has recommened that we try them, followed up by email various dealerships for pricing. Sam came back with a really good price, that didn't change when we showed up at the dealership. Very friendly service, we are pleased and will pick up our new car on Monday. Can't say enough about them, will recommend Sam and Bill Kolb to everyone we know.

That is one thing you can be sure of. The price we quote is the price you pay. There are no other "hidden fees or extra charges" at time of delivery. No surprises. Just honest to good, lowest pricing with the best service possible. Our DOC fees are only $75 vs other NJ deales that will charge up to $595 for the same service but unfortunately you don't find that out until you are taking delivery. Dealt with Howard over the phone and email. Was quoted a price for a 2011 STI hatch. Agreed upon price and left deposit to buy car. Took a day off from work and drove 30 miles to dealership. When I got there, price was already listed on invoice and everything was good to go. Filled out all the necessary paperwork for financing and already received insurance card. Almost 2 hours later, was informed I was quoted the wrong price. Manager was unhelpful as mistake was made by Salesman. Price was already agreed upon and paperwork was already written up. Deal was off at this point as the salesman and manager would not honor the price I was originally quoted.

While you were in the dealership I explained what happened and showed you the numbers and where the mistake occurred and it was simply that, a mistake. When you left, while greatly disappointed, you genuinely seemed to accept my apology and indicated to me that you would most likely return to the dealership at some point in the future to conclude our business. Very aggressive pricing on auction-purchased or rental Subarus. A few things did rub me the wrong way though: making me wait as well as some phantom numbers in the financing that resulted in a higher payment than I came up with with my calculator. When I told the finance person "gotcha" -- she changed it. Also the service department is hit or miss. I have had them comp me things under warranty but they also mis diagnosed and failed to diagnose other things.

We purchased a second hand car for our son through Gary Mendleson. We initially came for another car but it had been sold so he found us an alternative vehicle. We were so please with the service when our lease came up on our Audi we decided to go with an Outback. The service was excellent. The whole process is so hassle free. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and would recommend Gary Mendleson to anyone too. I love the car too.

I just took delivery on my new Outback LTD today. I've yet to have experience with their service Dept, so I can't comment on that. As far as sales go, Sam Texler is a real 'straight shooter'. He is very patient, and answered the questions I asked. If he couldn't answer himself, he would find someone who could, or call me back after finding out. (And I asked a lot of questions). I take care of a fleet of high tech TV News vehicles, including satellite trucks, and live news vans. I'm sure that at one time or another, you've seen one of these trucks in and around NYC. Folks are always asking me about cars and trucks. Right off the bat, the price from Sam and Bill Kolb Jr. beat the price offered by a nation wide wholesale 'club' dealer.(And that dealer was much lower than the 3 other dealers I checked.)As far as the purchase experience, it is my pleasure to recommend Bill Kolb Jr. and Sam Texler their sales consultant. We were so impressed with everything about this dealership, including the employees we came in contact with. Sonny was so genuine and not pushy. He made us feel very comfortable. We have been buying cars for years, and never did we come across a salesman and a dealership that was so friendly and willing to take the time to explain things. Sonny was extremely helpful during the entire process and was very knowledgeable about Subaru's vehicles. Would definitely recommend to friends! There was a bit of wait time when you walked into the dealership, but I believe it's a testament to how many people want to buy from this dealership! Make sure to call in beforehand!

I can not say enough good things about my experience at Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru. I had been doing quite a bit of research to compare subaru dealers and inventory available in my search for an impreza hatchback with a manual transmission. By far their advertised prices beat all others out of the water. I arrived at the dealership on a Saturday morning and had the pleasure of being helped by Jerry Taylor. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and at no point did I feel like I was getting a sales "pitch." It was an absolute pleasure doing business with this gentleman. I left the dealership that day having purchased a 2009 impreza hatch with 8100 miles on it. Unbelievable! The car was ready and I drove it off the lot on Monday. It was that easy. I would recommend Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru and specifically Jerry Taylor to anyone in the market for a vehicle. Professional, informed and pleasant. Thank you!

It is rare to find a salesman today with both the affability and warm personality as seen in decades past. Sonny Ripps of Bill Kolb,Jr. Subaru made my recent automobile purchase one of the most pleasant and easiest I have ever experienced. He made certain to review every document required for signature, explain same and then spent nearly two hours going over the workings of my new car. In fact, when I experienced a minor glitch activating my satellite radio, Mr. Ripps assisted me by contacting Sirius and refused to leave until the system worked. I enthusiastically recommend Sonny Ripps; he's a credit to your dealership.
