We purchased a second hand car for our son through Gary Mendleson. We initially came for another car but it had been sold so he found us an alternative vehicle. We were so please with the service when our lease came up on our Audi we decided to go with an Outback. The service was excellent. The whole process is so hassle free. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and would recommend Gary Mendleson to anyone too. I love the car too.

I just took delivery on my new Outback LTD today. I've yet to have experience with their service Dept, so I can't comment on that. As far as sales go, Sam Texler is a real 'straight shooter'. He is very patient, and answered the questions I asked. If he couldn't answer himself, he would find someone who could, or call me back after finding out. (And I asked a lot of questions). I take care of a fleet of high tech TV News vehicles, including satellite trucks, and live news vans. I'm sure that at one time or another, you've seen one of these trucks in and around NYC. Folks are always asking me about cars and trucks. Right off the bat, the price from Sam and Bill Kolb Jr. beat the price offered by a nation wide wholesale 'club' dealer.(And that dealer was much lower than the 3 other dealers I checked.)As far as the purchase experience, it is my pleasure to recommend Bill Kolb Jr. and Sam Texler their sales consultant. We were so impressed with everything about this dealership, including the employees we came in contact with. Sonny was so genuine and not pushy. He made us feel very comfortable. We have been buying cars for years, and never did we come across a salesman and a dealership that was so friendly and willing to take the time to explain things. We will definetly recommend this dealership to everyone. He was especially nice to our son, a first time car buyer.

Sonny was extremely helpful during the entire process and was very knowledgeable about Subaru's vehicles. Would definitely recommend to friends! There was a bit of wait time when you walked into the dealership, but I believe it's a testament to how many people want to buy from this dealership! Make sure to call in beforehand!

I can not say enough good things about my experience at Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru. I had been doing quite a bit of research to compare subaru dealers and inventory available in my search for an impreza hatchback with a manual transmission. By far their advertised prices beat all others out of the water. I arrived at the dealership on a Saturday morning and had the pleasure of being helped by Jerry Taylor. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and at no point did I feel like I was getting a sales "pitch." It was an absolute pleasure doing business with this gentleman. I left the dealership that day having purchased a 2009 impreza hatch with 8100 miles on it. Unbelievable! The car was ready and I drove it off the lot on Monday. It was that easy. I would recommend Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru and specifically Jerry Taylor to anyone in the market for a vehicle. Professional, informed and pleasant. Thank you!

It is rare to find a salesman today with both the affability and warm personality as seen in decades past. Sonny Ripps of Bill Kolb,Jr. Subaru made my recent automobile purchase one of the most pleasant and easiest I have ever experienced. He made certain to review every document required for signature, explain same and then spent nearly two hours going over the workings of my new car. In fact, when I experienced a minor glitch activating my satellite radio, Mr. Ripps assisted me by contacting Sirius and refused to leave until the system worked. I enthusiastically recommend Sonny Ripps; he's a credit to your dealership.

From the time we walked in, we were trated very well. We were early for our appointment, but someone else was available to take care of us. There was a huge selection of "used" cars to choose from. Sonny was very knowledgeable, and (hopefully) honest about the vehicles. We were please by the "no-haggle" pricing. The only negative part was the wait time to see the "financial" guy. We paid cash so I think the salesperson himself could have taken care of that part.

Excellent feedback! I am pleased someone what avaialable to show your our huge selection of used cars. We had select each pre-owned vehicle we have available for sale. We do ask that each customer sees our Delivery Coordinator (Financial Guy). He is responsible to actually scheduling the delivery date and time of your vehicle and ensuring you have all of the required paperwork you need with you to pick up the car (even when paying cash). Bought car for elderly Father. Negotiated price on line and via emails/phone calls. Once deal was finalized, met Dad at dealership to pay/do paperwork and pick up car. Dad was treated with respect, dignity and felt in control of the deal at all times (Dad is a retired Col.and staff people came in to thank him for his 42 years of military service). Rick spent 3 hours with us; 1 hour going over car and taking Dad for drive to ensure Dad was comfortable driving for long trip home (LI,NY) and to activate Bluetooth and program interior controls,etc. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the dealership and with the Staff. We will buy all our Subarus from Bill Kolb Jr. I priced out Subarus from 5 other Metro/NY/LI/NJ/Conn dealers and Kolbs prices were the best by $1200; now I know that the service and car matches the excellent prices. Thank you Kolb Staff, especially Rick yesterday and Howard during negotiations.

Overall a good experience and decent yet inconsistent follow up electronically. My biggest gripe is that after explaining how importatn AWD is to me and making specific reference to driving in snow, etc they completely failed to discuss openly with me that the WRX would be a disaster in the snow given the tires its sold with. Maybe there are no options to make a change, maybe there are but nothing was ever discussed. Dunlop stated these tires are not to be driven sub freezing or in snow/ice. I am pretty sure I bought the car and it was below freezing THAT day. I consider this borderline negligent and dangerous. This is not the type of experience i want in a dealer and fosters zero trust. After all that discussion of audi vs subaru performance and reference specifically to bad weather driving...amazing the salesmen kept their mouths shut. Now am SCREWED getting to work - thanks a lot for wasting both my time and money and basically knowlingly putting me in harms way. Yes I should have seen that too - but YOU should have discussed my option based on the context of our conversations. MaryAnn - I see you value peoples opinions/constructive feedback. Please give me an explanation on the ethics you teach and a number to speak to someone re my options.

Well how many cars do you sell with Summer tires - probably not a high %? Bottom line Maryann, you are negligent in rolling cars off your lot in November with tires that the manufacturer specifically says not to use. At least take this as constructive feedback and stop doing it. Your practice here conflicts with everyday logic. If you play it right you can make money off of this situation - think about it.
