I had service done to my Lancer Evolution MR, and instantly regretted it.
Right after service was done, in paperwork I found that they used 0w20 oil type. They clearly don't know what the difference between regular Lancer and Evolution is.
Because Evolution is a performance, turbo-charged car, it needs different type of oil - 5W30 fully synthetic. It says it in the service manual, Mitsubishi website and it says on the hood and the cap of the engine. Still they filled it in with 0W20 for regular Lancers.
After my question why they did it I was told that 0W20 is "based on the performance oil," whatever that means...
I was offered by Mike to come back with the car, so he can check what I actually have in my car, because in his words "most of the time my parts department bill the wrong oil on the bill." But I rejected such offer simply because oil just needs to be replaced ASAP and getting checked what oil is in the car, going to the service and stay in line is very time consuming process, especially when you only have Saturday to do this.
So after this "service" I have to do another service, to get rid of that 0W20 oil and fill in with the right type that my car needs.
Maybe, if you don't care what someone puts into your car and then you be wondering why engine broke, then this service is for you, or you have a car on lease and you just don't care.
It seems like they just want to sell you their service packages and call it a day.
Staff is ok, but technical service is really poor.
