Like many others on this page, I too have had several negative encounters with Capital Expressway Ford. So much so that I don't even know where to begin. I purchased a NEW 2011 Ford Mustang from thei negative encounters with Capital Expressway Ford. So much so that I don't even know where to begin. I purchased a NEW 2011 Ford Mustang from their dealership last year. After all, last year was 2011 so I presumed as much that the car I was test driving, was in fact new. I just recently went through all the paperwork (for a related but separate issue I will get to shortly) and noticed that they put USED at the top of the purchase agreement. Now to their credit, they did tell me JUST before signing the contract that the car was a rollback because the previous buyer couldn't get a loan BUT they said the car was new and sold it at a NEW price. When I saw this, I was shocked. 5 months after I bought it, around the beginning of August 2011, I brought it in for it's oil change and standard maintenance. I had purchased a maintenance agreement so everything would be covered. When I dropped it off I also told the service advisor in the Quick Lane that the transmission was acting funny and wasn't properly shifting gears. They said they would take a look at it but didn't write it on their paper work since it was only standard service. They gave it back to me and said everything was fine. 1 month later I brought it BACK in and told them the issue is getting worse and everything is NOT fine. They checked it in and had the car for 3 days while I had to figure out alternative means of transportation. After 3 days they said the mass air flow sensor needs to be replaced and that will solve the issue. After they perform the repair, Gary from Ford calls me to pick it up. I sign the paperwork and drive off. The second I get on the freeway the car pulled back and surged forward as if it were a rubberband in the hands of a 5 year old. I immediately called Gary and notified him of the issue and told him I would bring it in the next day. (I had a personal situation going on that prohibited me from returning that same day.) The next day I bring it in, it remains there until the beginning of October (in total, 27 days at Ford Capital Expressway). After multiple calls to the dealership service department because no one EVER called me with an update, and multiple calls to Ford corporate, they decide to replace the ENTIRE TRANSMISSION because something in the valve body wasn't working and that part was on NATIONAL back order. I had to pull teeth to get a rental car during this time period. I get the car back and not knowing it was going to be out of commission for so long, I realized I hadn't taken my valuables out of the car. The same day I noticed a very EXPENSIVE Samsung camera go missing. To their credit, Ford Capital Expressway did reimburse me for the loss of the camera. Barely a year later, and I am having MORE transmission issues (just had to have about 65% of the "NEW" transmission replaced last week) and it is STILL not working right. All in all, these guys do LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. Considering I thought I was buying a NEW car, I can no longer be sure if I received a NEW transmission. I had a pretty unfortunate experience at the Ford dealership on Stevens Creek as well so my advice for anyone in the San Jose area... look on Yelp before you SIGN anything at any local Ford dealership. These guys are crooks. More
