Sell your car outright or they will offer you a Kelly Blue Book Instant Cash Price instead of the KBB Trade-In Value, which is $5k-7k below your cars real trade in value. Then they'll try to convince you Blue Book Instant Cash Price instead of the KBB Trade-In Value, which is $5k-7k below your cars real trade in value. Then they'll try to convince you your car is being low balled because "no one can say for sure what a good conditioned used car really means." Maybe not, but I bet I and the BBB can tell the diff. between an Instant Cash Offer and a Trade-in offer. My trade retails for $28-29k all day long, and Trade-in ranges from $23k-26k, yet they only offered the Instant Cash Price of $20.5K, then tried to convince me that my trade, which is in excellent condition, somehow fell on the LOWEST possible side of the Trade in range...which, btw, is $3k short of what KBB says it should be.
