"Here in Pittsburgh from Out of Town - Great Service"

Here in Pittsburgh because of unexpected death in family. A warning light came on - and was afraid to drive back to DC with this issue. They took me at the last minute - were efficient - honest and ordered a small interior part w/ a rip on it. Could NOT have been happier. If it wasn't so far, I'd skip the DC dealer and come back here all the time!

"paid over $1,000; issue was not fixed"

By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Took my VW Jetta in because the engine light was on and the car was puttering. We were going to junk it, as it has over 150,000 miles on it and it is only worth $250. They assured me the car was in good condition and only needed a few things replaced. I paid $1,000 to have the coil packs replaced and a few other things. Two days later while driving, the engine light comes back on and car is puttering (same issue). After spending $1,000, I took it back and asked if they could diagnose the problem (they never fixed the original issue). Said they would have to charge me another $100 to diagnose it. When I told them I did not want to put another cent into it without knowing what was wrong, they offered to buy the car from me. What a slap in the face. I went to the dealership in person and asked to speak with the manager to see if they could diagnose the issue free of charge, and THEY SAID I COULD NOT SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I will never, ever buy another Volkswagen, because I cannot stand to work with their representatives. I will be calling news stations and am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau.

"Horrible"

I took my jetta here for a simple dignostic.no care was taken with my vehicle.the protective shield is held on by 8 screws,they put 3 back in.Not only just 3,but they were different screws the thread pitch was completely different yet the forced them through anyway ruining the clips.if you love your vw dont let these people touch it.

"Reckless service management"

I took my Volkswagen Passat to the service department of Cochran Volkswagen in 2755 West Liberty Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15216. The reason why I took my car is that I had engine light on. Service advisor: 996906 Michael Hecker made a call to me and said that Ignition Coil and Sparks Plugs should be replaced in the car in order to turn off the engine light. I agreed and he did the service for $513.78 (USD). After 48 hours the engine light turned on again, I called them and they asked to bring the car. Then, they checked the car and Michael told me that engine light would not turn on again. Then, next day the same thing happened, I already took the car to them three times. I talked with the service manager: Justin Hergenroeder and he says that he cannot do refund and he asked to bring the car to the dealership one more time. Yesterday, 996906 Michael Hecker made a call and he asked another $750 for turning off the engine light. I already paid $513.78 for this service which was required to fix the problem. It means that they did a wrong diagnosis in the beginning for my car and charged money for that wrong diagnosis. I have a right to claim for my money back. But, a service management of this dealership do not care about this and they are denying that they did a mistake. It's a huge shame that reckless people like them are representing a brand and company like Volkswagen which plays important role in the Auto industry. I ask all friends to continue this with hashtags #MichaelHeckerOUT #JustinHergenroederOUT so they won't do these morale damages to other people.

Dear Sir/Madam, There is nothing to do with 160k+ mileage, the problem is that you did a wrong diagnosis for a check engine light and you charged me over $500 for this wrong diagnosis. The engine light came back next 48 hours and I had to take my car to you 3 times until you confessed there was a different problem which I should pay another $800. If you informed that a total cost of repairing the car would be over $1300, I might not do it with you, and I would find something alternative. Then, when I asked to refund my money for this mistake, I was refused by your dealership. There was a mistake by your employees who I mentioned earlier. But you have denied to accept it. I want these kind of moral damages would not happen with other people. Therefore, I decided to make my voice heard. Best regards, Hamid!

"Above and beyond..."

This review is a few months behind for service that I received back at the end of October 2014. I have a 2003 Eurovan and had a problem with my passenger lock door assembly. Initially Steve Bullister informed me that the whole assembly would need to be replaced and that the parts couldn't be obtained for a few days. I had planned an anniversary camping trip for that weekend and was pretty disappointed that the camper wouldn't be ready. However, Steve called back the following day and said that the technician (M G Harvey?) had worked overtime to re-wire this manually instead of ordering the parts. Not only did they save me money but we did get to go on our camping trip that weekend to Ohiopyle. thanks a lot...especial to technician....great service...I will be back. Bill W.

"Unexpected Level of Service"

Many people associate dealer service with high costs. In my case, I brought the car in for a door opening problem that I thought may be covered under my extended warranty. The service team investigated the problem and fixed, no charge! To me, this affirms the integrity and fairness of the shop.

"The work got done, but I didn't know what was going on."

8157 My vehicle was dropped off after hours on a Friday evening, I understood that no one would work on it until Monday. Very fair, did not even expect any different. I call Saturday to make sure the vehicle and keys were there and everything was set, left a message on the voicemail and received a call back and a reasonable time. I was told car and keys were safe and the car would be checked out Monday. Not until Monday afternoon (2pm) that I called them to leave a voicemail and recieve a call back around 3pm. Apparently their address on gps has the same address listed for two different locations, so my car was in the wrong lot. I was told I would have to pay to get it moved to the correct lot. Whole day wasted. I should have known this on Saturday when I was told the care was received with keys. To speed up the review, I did not receive any initial calls to update me on what was going on, only after calling and leaving messages did I get an update. My rating for customer service is a little misleading. The people are not bad, never was anyone rude or disrespectful. I just work in an industry as an Accountant, and I know communication is my key to keeping all my customers happy. There is a severe lack of communication going on there. I even had to request a loaner car after 10 days of having my vehicle when the estimate was 5 days. Even then I was told I would get a call back with confirmation that the loaner car was approved, I still had to call them to even find that out, in which I had to leave another message and wait 30 mins for a call back. Overall my car has been serviced and is fixed. The services that were rendered, from my understanding are not everyday services that they deal with. So I understand the time estimate being off, but lack of communication is still unacceptable.
