"Very , very disappointed!"

- Gil Dacosta

Let's start by saying that I've always loved ford trucks (f 150) last year I've purchased a 2016 f 150 xlt , and couple months ago I found out that water is getting into the cab somehow ! I called colonial ford and set up an appointment to bring my truck in They got it fixed ( so they say) but a few days later after a day of wet weather surprise more water! I called back set up another appointment they've had my truck since the 6 of March today is the 15, and I stopped by to get my truck! And again surprise what a bull****, they replaced a weather striping but they put it the wrong way ! Yes is possible believe me...also a door panel that was damaged by the technicians in a previous visit and was supposed to be replaced and according to them was replaced , was sitting in the box that it came in... so please think twice if you are planning on bring your car to colonial ford in Danbury .

"Colonial Ford fixed what another Ford dealer could not fix."

- RK1

I purchased my 2011 F-250 from a Ford dealer in the Watertown area. Within one year there was an electrical problem (air bag light). That dealer had my truck for three days and could not solve the problem. Ultimately, I gave up on them and put up with additional minor problems they created. Recently I brought the truck to Colonial for 60,000 mile service, front suspension work and, perhaps they could fix that original electrical problem. Mechanic Bobby identified the work believed to be required. Service rep called with explanation of work and price estimate. Solving the electrical problem turned out to be far more complicated than thought. Many additional houres were spent by this talented mechanic. No craftsman likes to repair other peoples' mistakes. However, Bobby solved the problem and I was pleasently surprised that the bill was only what was estimated. I was not charged at all for the many extra hours required to complete the work. Nice!

"Dangerous"

- Carguy

Service deptartment is incompetent - can't even do an oil change correctly. They left the filter loose and oil leaking. Also installed filter incorrectly and they lost a screw so they drilled a screw in sideways and destroyed the center clip. When I called they seemed completely uninterested - not even an apology they just told me to call back on Monday.

"Waiting for my car again"

- WasaFordGuyNowNotSoSure

Sitting in the service lounge waiting for my repair again. in the 10+ years I've been dealing with Colonial, I have yet to bring a vehicle in and leave happy with all repairs completed. Most visits results in return visits to either do the repair over, or because they missed something. Service management is apologetic, but the problems continue.

"Recall parts non-existant"

- frustrated

My Taurus was recalled back in March. Told parts had to be ordered. I have called several times and was told no parts yet. This is service at it's poorest. No calls, no follow-up, no care. I have called the service manager I await his response. Is this how Ford considers the safety of it's customers.

"SERVICE DEPARTMENT INEPT"

- SMSHCT

Steve, after all this....almost 2 months – 4 phone calls (never returned) – 4 trips to the service dept....you gave me the wrong bolts I sort of thought it odd about all the talk about having to get a kit, what was that plastic piece in the bag, but what do I know....this is your area of expertise. Obviously frustrated when I tried to install it on Saturday in the rain, I gave my New Hampshire dealer (purchase location) a call....shoot us a picture – oh, just a tailgate bolt....we’ll send one to ya Monday morning...arrived today (7-22-15)...perhaps what you guys ordered had something to do with that ladder and support stand option, but gee whilikers....THE TRUCK WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU 1) how difficult could it had been to remove a tail gate bolt from an existing “stock inventory vehicle” even to just check 2) why did it merely sit , ignored on the counter for days....a simple phone call could have solved the PO Box and Residential Address dilemma 3) I never did receive the USPS delivery anyway – to this day "N O T H I N G" Not a major deal, I suppose, and you guys will continue on your merry way. I spent $43.00 in fuel and two weeks for what....NOTHING banner job Colonial - - BANNER JOB Sam Mihailoff PO Box 244 Sandy Hook, CT 06482 (203) 426-0315
