Patiently ISO a new vehicle. I already had a decent running SUV and was looking for something similar (CR-V, Sante Fe, etc.) and my mileage was getting up there. So, occasionally I already had a decent running SUV and was looking for something similar (CR-V, Sante Fe, etc.) and my mileage was getting up there. So, occasionally, I would browse the internet looking for any good deals at various dealerships. Not much luck but I was in no rush. My daughter was looking also and mentioned to me one day that there was a decent deal on a 2017 CX-5 at Competition Infiniti in St. James, so we decided to take a drive and look at it. When we got there it was outside in front and I was checking it out when a sales associate just arriving to work approached us and asked if I was interested in a test drive. Well of course, her name was Vanessa Caruso. No pressure (as I have had in the past with other dealers, ugh!) She was extremely polite and very professional. After the drive and encounter we went over the financing and this particular vehicle was quite reasonable and exactly what I was looking for and more (had some bells and whistles I didn't even expect, fully loaded!). Also met with the Manager Robert, who was also very courteous and friendly. So the deal began. I was hooked! Vanessa went through the process seamlessly with me and a week later the vehicle was prepped for me (at no extra cost, the price was what they said it was, no hidden fees, nice!) and the paperwork was prepared promptly. Proceeded to give my down payment, sign the papers and went over all the features of the vehicle and drove away in my very reasonably priced new vehicle. Have had it for 2 months now with no issues (even though they assured me if they're were any problems to bring it back and they would address it guaranteed). My overall experience at this dealership was extremely satisfying and pleasant and I would recommend them to anyone I know interested in purchasing a new vehicle! A#1 in my book! From the first visit that we walked out on because the first salesmen didnt want to be bothered, that should have been the first sign to never come back. We were told we would have remote start only to find out they did not include it in the vehicle and when we questioned it we were told it would be around $700. Happy with the car but could have got the car somehwere else and had a better experience, Vanessa was our sales person and would work with her again just not at smithtown and the whole experience makes me look at infiniti in a different light. More
