I was in the market for a used (or new, depending on the price) car. A Mazda3 hatchback was one of the vehicles I was looking at. I found Cox's prices to be the best on the market, and Carl Carpenter assist price) car. A Mazda3 hatchback was one of the vehicles I was looking at. I found Cox's prices to be the best on the market, and Carl Carpenter assisted me in every way he could. At no point did I feel like I was being misled, and he never "pushed" the sale. I did not even purchase a car at this dealership (it had NOTHING to do with the dealership itself, only that I found a different make and model I preferred more), but I will definitely consider Cox Mazda and Carl in the future at whatever point I'm in the market for a car, and I would recommend them to anyone. More
We purchased a new Mazda from Cox Mazda last Saturday, March 9, 2013. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Prior to arriving at the dealership, we spoke with Denny Hodges, who was professional and willing to answer all of our lengthy questions and concerns. Mr. Hodges' friendly manner convinced us to make our purchase through Cox Mazda, which is no small accomplishment considering that we had contacted and communicated with several dealerships throughout South and Central Florida. On the date of the purchase, we specifically dealt with Jesse Edwards. The manner in which Jesse handled our entire transaction made it painless and enjoyable, which are two words I have never before utilized when discussing an automobile purchase. Jesse took the time to address all of our questions, yet managed to complete our purchase in an expeditious fashion. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable with Jesse, like we had known him for years. Jesse's sincerity enabled us to be confident in what was, to us, a sizeable and potentially stressful purchase. The finance department also did an excellent job in assisting us, and we were impressed by the technology utilized by Cox Mazda's staff. We highly recommend Cox Mazda and hope to make all future automobile purchases with them. More
Not a big fan of buying new cars, auto salesmen, and the whole experience--but after doing research online, I felt Cox Mazda dealership in Bradenton had the best deals. So that is where I decided to go-- the whole experience was a really good one for me, from my sales person, David Stubbers to even the financing manager. The whole experience was really good--David was a no pressure, in your face kind of sales person, which is what I prefer, but when I had questions, he always had the answers. As for quality on their work, obviously just buying a new car, I haven't had to deal with that, but I will be taking my Mazda there for my oil changes, and we will see how they are, I am assuming, the service will be just as good I would highly recommend Cox Mazda dealership if you are looking for a new car. David Stubbers was great to work with, patiently handling all our concerns and questions. He dealt with any issues we had very honestly and I never felt pressured. I just purchased a new car from Carl Carpenter at Cox Mazda on 1/9/13. After extensive research, I found that Cox Mazda had very, very competitive prices (several other Mazda dealers couldn't even touch Mazda on 1/9/13. Working with Carl, I never felt pressured or rushed, and he was extremely attentive and thorough from the get-go. He answered every question I had, and his customer first approach and professionalism was rather refreshing. I found him to be genuinely honest; he never once promised me something he could not deliver on. I had been in contact with several dealerships, but in the end, I decided to take my business to Carl and Cox Mazda, not only because of their highly competitive pricing, but mainly due to Carl's unmatched customer service. It didn't hurt that he was an absolute pleasure to deal with (friendly and highly attentive). My wife and I actually drove over an hour to the dealership, passing several others on the way because we wanted to buy from Carl. In short, I highly recommend Carl and Cox Mazda, and I'll be visiting them again in the near future to purchase a new car for my wife! More
I searched online for the car I wanted and the COX Mazda ad says "YOUR PRICE" $18,981.00 I go in for a test drive and the salesperson tells me the price is $19,484.00 because there is a "recon" fee. xxx COX ad says "YOUR PRICE" $18,981.00 I go in for a test drive and the salesperson tells me the price is $19,484.00 because there is a "recon" fee. xxx COX put that in the ad. Also the mileage was 1000 over the print ad mileage and the salesperson tells me it's not their fault. I get a low ball offer for my trade. NO THANKS. Total waste of my time!!! More

Went for test drive and then recieved a trade propsal and advised I would go and talk to my wife about the proposal. There was no game playing or pressure applied at that time and it was very easy for us to agree because a fair proposal had been offered. In all my car buying experiences, Cox has the fastest, and most professional financial system. The salesman does a good majority of the paper work which makes the time in the financial office very short and professional. Everyone and especially the salesman was very friendly and professional with a follow up call the following day. It makes car buying a joy instead of the pain which I have experience before in car buying. More

I had a terrible experience with Cox Mazda. I was very excited to purchase a car, found what I wanted in my price range. At first the staff was very friendly and helpful, the financing was fast and simple excited to purchase a car, found what I wanted in my price range. At first the staff was very friendly and helpful, the financing was fast and simple, the rate was not bad considering we don't have the greatest credit, but our credit is not that bad either. Everything went very smooth, I was going to leave the vehicle at the dealership until I got my insurance switched over and was urged to drive it home with a dealer tag..Everything was great until I brought the vehicle back to have the few minor things we had agreed on to be addressed and the nightmare began, it was a constant fight to get what I was promised, then 9 days after buying this car I was told I could have my car back from the service department after we went in to talk to the business manager, after waiting over an hour for him, we were informed that the financing and interest rate that we signed on our original contract fell through and we would need to resign the contract with new terms and an interest rate 6% higher than originally agreed upon. If we did not agree to these new terms we would have to pay for the mileage on our vehicle and probably lose our cash down payment. After leaving the dealership very upset, I researched this scam and discovered it is perfectly legal due to the "subject to financing clause" however legal or not this is wrong and dishonest and has ruined the experience of buying my first new car. The truth is that the dealer knew what I could be financed for to begin with, but knew I would never agree to begin with. This is an awful way to do business and I would encourage anyone looking to purchase a car unless you are paying cash or have your own financing to stay far far away from cox mazda..although the sales manager boasts about how honest he is, it just isn't true...not to mention after screwing me over, the dealership tried to convince me that they lost money on the car that I paid almost full asking price for..not true and not right. More
