On 11/30/17 I booked an appointment with 355 Toyota in Rockville, MD. This was intended to be an appointment for an oil change, tire pressure check and headlight refurbishment. I had been quoted a price of $150.00 over the phone by the person that handled my August service. When I arrived I was informed that the price for the headlight refurbishment would be $250.00. There was no digital record of Toyota telling me that I needed a refurbishment on the headlights. The representative that was sitting next to the young man that I was talking to said he would pull the hard copy. When he found the hard copy, he said yes, we have it here and it was quoted at $250. When I looked at the hard copy, the price that was originally quoted had been scratched out and replaced by $250.00. I found this whole process dishonest and underhanded. I told them to cancel all of my services that I wanted and left the dealership. I really resent that these people think I am that stupid. I got a call the next morning asking why I did not show up for my appointment. The nerve !!!
I have been using this dealership for a few years now and always found the service to be straight forward, convenient and reliable. That is until this past August when 355 Toyota messed up on another matter.
What is going on with this formerly wonderful service department ? I am appalled by the dishonesty, lying and poor service and will no longer be using Toyota Service departments or for that matter, I am looking for a new car and will probably buy a Honda because of this.
Do not recommend this dealership, horrible experience
