After being a loyal customer for 10 years, they tried to charge me 40% more than the price listed on their own website for a part I needed replaced. When I asked about the discrepancy I wasn’t given a straight answer and was simply told it’s their right to up charge for parts and labor. Ended up taking my car somewhere else. Do not get your car fixed here! More

I recently went to buy a car at DARCARS at Silver Spring and when we went to finalize the transaction, a surprise charge of $2,500 was added to our bill. Keep in mind that this is not a service we requested nor wanted. We asked the sales consultant if it was optional and she said it was. Then, the sales manager clearly undermined her and stated it was NOT an optional service. I was ready to walk away from the transaction as it was very dishonest and underhanded. Luckily, we discussed this with the finance manager and with support from the general manager, he was able to rectify the situation and remove the $2,500 charge from the bill. If you are going to buy a car from this dealership, please ask for all charges upfront, so that you do not end up with a $2,500 surprise, as the sales manager is going to try very hard to sell it to you. Remember, DARCARS Assurance is optional, not mandatory. More

So angry! Found perfect car right in my range not over my cap. Then told me I HAD to take their Assurance plan for 2,400+ dollars. That it was policy. Worst of all, I still want that car. It’s been on the lot for 97 days it said online. I fell in love and it wasn’t even what I went in for. Why?? Why be the stereotypical car dealers. I haven’t worked in over 2 years due to the pandemic and am just starting to get my company up and running. And I would like to get a semi new car as my car is 16years old! Now I will get some apology here but still doesn’t get me my car. I was ready to sign and pay. Why would u do that? Oh right it’s a sellers market for cars. Hope u get that 2 grand more. Wish I could just get someone else at another Darcars to sell it to me. As I did call one to see if that Assurance thing was real. Guess what? NO it is not!! So disappointed. More

I get my car serviced at Volkswagen dealerships only and this was the worst experience I have ever had. This service at other dealerships is $79.95 and my vehicle only takes 6 quarts of oil. This dealership charged me for 7 quarts of oil adding almost $10 in parts to my bill. I asked the service writer to give me a discount and he generously took $4.50 off my bill (down to $140) after overcharging me by $9.75 in parts and more in labor. TO THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THIS DEALERSHIP: Your Service Consultant Herbert Carrillo cost you the estimated $1200 I was going to spend at my 80k mile service interval....all for a $9.60 quart of oil and a $20 overcharge. I found myself back at the Darcars service department for a tire repair. We needed a nail removed. So while the work was being done, I went up to the sales department to see our favorite sales manager Diak a tire repair. We needed a nail removed. So we traded in our old lease ended up leasing a new vehicle! Diako was fantastic to work with is just such a gentleman!! We highly recommend Darcars VW and Diako. More
