My husband was looking for a 4 WD Diesel truck. After looking at local car lots in Charleston, WV he was not satisfied with their inventories. He was courteous, willing to help, and very knowledgeable on the truck he was interested in buying. My husband wanted the vehicle. We live in West Virginia and the truck was in Georgia. During the conversation the service man said he had purchased a vehicle from Swainsboro recently and his son just made a purchase, so he gave me the name, he went on to say that , if the vehicle was out there mister Ed Daniels @ Daniels Chevrolet Buick GMC would find it. Anxiously, I text Monday evening leaving a description of what we were looking for and low and behold I received a text Tuesday morning, back and forth a few times and I told Mr Daniels, we ,my husband and I would be there Wednesday morning to see the vehicle. Upon arrival I spotted the vehicle from the corner and drove straight to it, called Mr Daniels to let him know we were on the lot at the vehicle and he came on out. We had 20 minutes of descriptions, explanation and a test drive, we were sold. There was a minor imperfection on the vehicle, Mr Ed said he would take care of it, no problem. Thursday before lunch he called and said the vehicle was ready and Friday morning we arrived and was back home before 3pm in our new vehicle, which included a lunch stop at Coleman House. My husband and I purchased a 2012 Ford F-150 at the end of October after waiting several weeks for the truck to be ready to be picked up. Upon leaving the dealership my husband realized that there were issues with the air conditioning. We contacted the sales associate immediately via text explaining what was going on. Instead of texting in response he called me and assured me that they would fix it. For the next week I would text to check in and he would always call and give an excuse as to why he hasn’t reached out to me, “shop is busy, hadn’t heard back from the mechanic, down two mechanics”, and the list goes on but he always assured me it would be made right. I texted him again this morning after realizing how long it had been since our last correspondence and I was left on read with no response. Not only are we dealing with an air conditioning issue, we also discovered a poorly patched rust spot after being told there was no presence of rust. We are now faced with $2,000 in body repairs and however much the air conditioning will cost after dropping $20,000 on a truck. I am incredibly dissatisfied with the handling of the situation and would never ever recommend this dealership! More
