"Honest and trustworthy."

- Ben

I have been going to Waltrip Buick since I moved to Tennessee. I have always been pleased with how I have been treated and how well myself and my car are taken care of. Eric has a great crew and I especially enjoy dealing with Dave, Jeff and Brandon. More like friends now.

"Service Dept hit a home run"

- HappyCamper

Took my 2011 Nissan Pathfinder in for an oil change. All the guys that I came in contact with were accomodating and helpful. Unfortunately, I noticed 2 days later that there was a dink on the hood, where the hood stand holds it up. Upon later inspection, there were more cosmetic problems. Immediately took the car back to the service center and they set up an appointment for the next day for their dent guy to come in and take a look. Left my car, took a loaner car, and arrived back 5 hours later to a car that was not only fixed, but had been completely detailed inside and out. My advisor, Brandon was amazing. He was calm and confident in his staff. Definitely will take my car back again.

"Dishonest service Department"

- tjacobs

My Husband bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Daryl Waltrip. Part of the package was free service package for a certain number of miles / length of time. We have been servicing the vehicle there, and have suspected, due to a continued problem with the wheels, that they say are NOT actually rotating the tires, but say that they are. Today, my husband brought the car in for oil change and tire rotation, and marked the front left tire, so that he could see if they were actually rotating the tires. (good detective work I must say! ) When he checked out his paperwork said that the tires had been rotated, but of course, they hadn't. Once he told them that he had marked the tires, and that he knew the tires had not been rotated, they quickly took the car, and actually did the service that they said they had done. This dealership service department is very shady and dishonest!

"Careless maintenance technicians, rude management."

- hunthearin

I purchased my new GMC truck here in March of 2016. The initial sale process went smoothly, and the Billy, my salesperson, could not have been nicer during the process. When I brought my truck in for its first oil change in May, I got it back from the shop with oil stains on the headliner. According to the shop manager, the technician that changed my oil was wearing an oily/dirty ball cap that made contact with my headliner in several places. Jocelyn, a maintenance coordinator, had the detailing department clean up my headliner. Most of the grease spots were removed, but there were still spots left on my headliner. I brought the truck back in today to have the spots worked on again, particularly one bad spot of discoloration, directly over the driver's seat. This is where the technicians ball cap made the most contact with the headliner. After attempting to clean the spot a second time, the grease had been completely worked in to the headliner. When I pointed this out to the maintenance team, they conveniently "couldn't see" the spot. My salesperson, Billy, agreed that he could see the grease spot until the dealership manager, Lawrence, came to take a look himself. At that point, Billy changed his mind and decided that he could no longer see the grease spot. They essentially told me that they would do nothing more about the problem that they caused. Throughout the process, I was laughed at, yelled at, and made to feel as though my complaint was ridiculous. I would not recommend purchasing or maintaining your vehicle at this dealership. Not only are their technicians careless with their filthy hands and clothing, their management and service advisors are entirely rude, and shady in their dealings. My entire experience with this dealer was a scam - buyer beware.

"Can't trust verbal estimates of work"

- Brad S

Last week we had a problem with our Acadia. It began to sputter and had no power on the interstate. After towing it down there and having their service department look at it Dave Keller called me and informed me of the work that needed to be done. The repair work that was needed and some regular maintenance that needed to be done. Overall the bill was just over $1,000 so I told him to go ahead with the work. My wife was getting ready to leave with the kids for spring break and I wanted the car in the best shape it could be in. After a little while I received another call from Dave telling me that the catalytic converters needed to be replaced and this had only shown up after the car had warmed up. After going through several different amounts I finally just asked him to tell me the new total. He told me it would me around $1,900 and whatever the state would do to him which I took to mean sales tax. So I was prepared for around $2,100. I told him once again to proceed with the work. That afternoon I received a text telling me that the work was done and we could pick up the Acadia. Shortly after that Dave called me to tell me that it was done. Not two minutes after that he called me back to tell me that he had made a mistake on the total he had told me and that it was now over $2,300. He tried to reassure me that he would do everything he could to get the price down. I was pretty unhappy with him at this point considering that the work was already done. That night my wife and I drove down to pick up the Acadia. It was after 7pm so only one rep was there at the service dept. To my complete shock the amount had not gone down like Dave had said he would try to do, it actually had grown to $2,456.70! Of course no one there could answer any questions that I had about why it went up. I as told that Dave would be notified of how upset I was but I haven't heard anything from them since. For months we have been having our Acadia serviced there because my wife was very happy with them from the start. This has completely ruined our trust in their service representatives. We may or may not be going back to them.

"Waltrip has an outstanding group of people working there."

- Ben

Any time I take my care to be serviced I am welcomed with a smile and made to feel that they are there to help me in any way they can. The service manager, Jamie has a great team of people and I feel that Dave and Jeff, in the service department, are friends. I also think a lot of Jason, who is a mechanic, because I don't believe there is a car problem he cannot fix.
