Overall, very pleased with the car buying experience at Carbiz in Maryland. After, having less than pleasant experiences at other dealers, I decided to show up to carbiz unannounced - as a means to check out the vehicle before any 'customer detailing' had been done. The vehicle was immaculate, inside and out - having water on it from being recently washed. Was this because someone else came to look at it? Or because I sent the dealer an email the night before only asking if it was still available? I'll never know, but if the latter was the case, than it's a testament to how on the ball the dealership is for getting vehicles sold. On day one, we couldn't reach a deal on a used car and as I was ready to leave, Matt called over Brian Schriver, the sales manager, to talk things over with us. It was nice to know they recognized I drove a decent ways to check out the vehicle and wanted to still make a deal happen. Some places say, even if a deal doesn't happen, we all leave as friends - at Carbiz, it's true - Matt texted me a few minutes after I left and recommended a nice place to grab lunch as I was unfamiliar with the area. Later that night, I received a phone call from Brian, and we talked for a few minutes and over the phone negotiated a deal I felt we both thought was fair. Sunday morning, it took but a few hours and I was out the door with a new (to me) vehicle. Gregg Smith helped expedite the financing and capped off smooth car buying experience. Thanks to all. More
