He simply talked with me for a short time, gave me his card, and thanked me for stopping by. Now, a couple months later, I took my truck in again for service and decided to look for a new vehicle. My wife and I wanted to trade our smaller truck in but was not sure exactly what we wanted. Wayne was so helpful, and patient, as we looked at cars, trucks, and SUV's. They never resolved my problem and told me to leave or they would call the police –because I asked to speak with General Manager. I have now spent over 2 weeks attempting to get some compromise for the possible damage that has been done to my engine. The offer I received? 30,000 miles of free oil changes. Because, when you make such a careless and negligent mistake I would completely trust you to even come within a close proximity to my car. Oh yes, the oil type is right on the cap or in the owners manual! For such a simple, yet I important, task to be so royally screwed up and having to battle to get some compromise for extra wear and tear on my BRAND NEW car/engine I strongly suggest you find another place to deal with. I brought my car to Hoffman Automotive for Maryland State Inspection, and it failed. They gave me a list of the three reasons why it failed, and later called me with the price of $1100.00 to complete the rep Inspection, and it failed. I had the vehicle repaired elsewhere for $674.00 and returned for re-inspection. They told me the car failed again due to an item that they had neglected to list on the report that they gave me after the first inspection. All Marty Coy could do was keep repeating, "I apologize." That is inexcusable. It took six hours to do these two "inspections". I will never return to Hoffman Automotive, and I recommend that anyone who needs responsible service for their vehicle avoid Hoffman Automotive at all costs. More
